A total of 165 children within this age group were screened @the Primary Health centre, Surulere. Out of the Total No, 75 males and 90 females were attended to. Refractive error was the major cause of vision impairment. Childhood Cataract and other ocular diseases were detected and referred for immediate surgery where applicable. Prescription Glasses were dispensed for free and those that needed cycloplegic refraction and other forms diagnostic procedures, were also referred to the nearest comprehensive eye centre.

However, a significant number of other age groups turned up for the outreach and they were also given attention.

In the Optical section, our team consisted of an Ophthalmic Nurse, an Optometrist, an Ophthalmologist and record keeping staff. #EyecareEverywhere
