SO TAKE HEED : If you suddenly stop on a manhole cover and find your camera inexorably starting to point down towards your feet, DO NOT CLICK THE SHUTTER. Once clicked, you are infected. There is no known cure except chucking your camera in the nearest river.

This is an alternate entry for this week's Macro Mondays - Member's Choice (Games and Game Pieces); it's a bunch of very small (approximately 8mm each side), coloured plastic cubes which are used to represent the four viruses in the cooperative board game 'Pandemic'. While my wife and I love the game it's very hard to play on the actual board so we bought the version on iPad which is much easier to manage.

Covid19 lockdown day 24. Today is a full moon day. Largest “pink moon” this year, I am told. Today is also the day when the US crossed 400000 cases and 12000 deaths from the Coronavirus. As I admired the details of our only satellite through the Nikon 200 500...I realized that I was looking at the one place that was 100% virus free. (Some folk climbed the Mt.Everest last week, so one can’t be a 100% sure if the highest point on earth is virus-free.) Moon enjoy it while it lasts. We humans have the capability to screw up any celestial object.

The UK has become the first country to approve a dual vaccine which tackles both the original Covid virus and the newer Omicron variant.
Ministers say the vaccine will now form part of the autumn booster campaign.
Moderna thinks 13 million doses of its new vaccine will be available this year, but 26 million people are eligible for some form of booster.
This bivalent vaccine has an important role to play in protecting people in the UK from Covid-19 as we enter the winter months."

I set about to take a photograph of my clock's hands forming triangles, but the feeling of dread of the coming virus overtook me. I decided to add distortion to my image because my normal sense of time is skewed. I feel as if time is crawling at an agonizing slow pace. The resulting image didn't have the impact I envisioned so I added a texture layer to imbue the photograph with the effect of contagion. Be safe, everyone.

This poor tree was succumbing to the dreaded Autumn Virus that eventually leads to all its 'hair' falling out ... only to be covered by ice and snow.
Captured this view while walking around Wilson Point in Maryland with my Dad and the dogs. The red and yellow leaves taking over portions of the trees there looked pretty cool against that patch of blue sneaking into the sky.
