The new application, for Android and iOS smartphones and tablets, permits visit planning at home. Features include advance ticketing and getting important information on, for example, opening hours and scheduled events.

When used at the aquarium, the app becomes a real digital guide on which visitors can personalize the experience. Thanks to the twenty-five Beacons (Bluetooth low frequency repeaters) installed throughout the site, visitors can navigate the Aquarium and download additional fact sheets, videos and audio explanations.
