Virtual Street Corners is a real-time, 24/7 interaction, digital media public art project by John Ewing, in collaboration with Carmen Montoya, Kevin Patton, Christopher Robbins and Minotte Romulus.
Though only 2.4 miles apart, and connected by the Route 66 bus, people living in Brookline and Roxbury rarely visit the other. In June of 2010, a storefront in Coolidge Corner, Brookline, and in Dudley Square, Roxbury was transformed into large video screens, providing pedestrians of each neighborhood with a portal into one another's worlds. Running 24/7, life-size screen images and AV technology enabled real-time communication between residents of the two neighborhoods.
The two neighborhoods are both transportation and cultural hubs with rich and intertwined histories. Using technology developed to bridge geographical distances, Virtual Street Corners instead traverses the social boundaries that separate two important neighborhood centers with significant historical connections.

Researchers at the Simulation and Training Technology Center hope to replace the I-MILES program with an eBullet system, pictured here, that will provide ballistic realism that’s nearly indistinguishable from live action. The eBullet system will correlate a 3D virtual trajectory in a digital terrain map, such as One World Terrain, for each shot fired and provide casualty feedback to the Soldier. Virtual Enterprises International and WISE held the summit in New York from April 4-7, 2011 and was sponsored by New York Life Foundation, Deloitte, HSBC and McGraw-Hill Education. Students competition included the National Business Plan Competition (NBPC) and Global Business Challenge (GBC). The NBPC challenged Virtual Enterprise students from across the country to demonstrate their global business expertise through written business plans and oral presentations. It showcased the best practices, rewarded excellence and allowed high school students to apply sophisticated knowledge and skills attributed to business professionals and college students. 19 teams began the competition with the winner announced on the April 7th at the Trade Fair. The GBC competition tasked students to work in multinational teams to identify the challenges, opportunities and risks involved in a global business by examining a business case styd. After 2.5 hours of analysis and deliberation, teams presented their findings to a plane of judges.

Non so se vi ricordate come ha preso il potere il fascismo.
Chi non ha vissuto i fatti e la storia di questa orrenda catastrofe l'ha solo studiata a scuola è caldamente consigliato di chiedere ai vecchioni che c'erano e l'hanno vissuto sulla propria pelle.
I suddetti vecchioni potranno confermarvi che, anche allora, si cominciò con le ronde di facinorosi (le cosiddette squadracce) e la progressiva, stillicida erosione dei diritti fondamentali delle persone: libertà di stampa, d'opinione, di riunione, di parola... di sciopero!
Vi ricorda nulla tutto ciò? E' facile dire "Sì vabbèhhh, ma ora è tutta un'altra cosa!"... ne siamo sicuri? Ne siamo davvero sicuri? Magari il clima di terrore, il razzismo, la violenza e l'odio imposti con martellante insistenza mediatica come l'unica soluzione possibile, le mile piccole limitazioni della libertà personale nel nome di una sedicente sicurezza... magari tutti questi piccoli e grandi orrori non hanno ancora spostato la nostra sedia o disturbato i nostri sonni... ma state sicuri che un giorno qualcosa disturberà anche le nostre placide esistenze e magari ci verrà da dire: "Eh no! Così non mi va! Ora sì che è il caso di cambiare..." Ma non sarà più possibile!
Pensiamoci PRIMA che sia troppo tardi, chè la libertà ha bisogno di impegno costante, mentre la dittatura ha solo bisogno di un po' di tranquillo, acquiescente qualunquismo!

Peter James Denning (born 1942) is an American computer scientist and writer. He is best known for pioneering work in virtual memory, especially for inventing the working-set model for program behaviour, which addressed thrashing in operating systems and became the reference standard for all memory management policies. He is also known for his works on principles of operating systems, operational analysis of queueing network systems, design and implementation of CSNET, the ACM digital library, codifying the great principles of computing, and most recently for the book The Innovator's Way, on innovation as a set of learnable practices.

Os senadores analisam ainda, o PL 1.561/2020 que cria a Loteria da Saúde e a Loteria do Turismo para ajudar a financiar ações de combate à pandemia da Covid-19, e o PL 1.422/2019, que estabelece o CPF como "número único e suficiente para identificação do cidadão nos bancos de dados de serviços públicos".

4-H Clover College is a four-day series of hands-on workshops for youth presented by Nebraska Extension in Lancaster County. Emphasis is on science, agricultural literacy, healthy living, career development and citizenship/leadership. Many of the projects made during the sessions are eligible to be exhibited at the Lancaster County Super Fair in July.
2022 Clover College featured 54 workshops with a total 926 session registrations. New workshops this year included: “Slime, Jelly Worms & Twizzlers,” “TEC Box - Tinker, Explore, Create,” “Pollinator Party,” “Folk Art Watercolor Art,” “Focus on Photography,” “Hydro-Dip Painting” and “A-maize-ing Corn.”
