Drawn from a photo by Winna...of apples and wine....done in new Strathmore Toned Grey book...Very tempted by the new Nova by Stillman and Birn...but I can learn on this. Used white Signa pen, Lexington Grey in a Preppy pen, and brown document ink in a Lamy with other colors done by using watercolor brush with water soluble graphite....Had a ball...from a distance it looks like a photo....

I spent an hour or so in the Bookbarn looking for William Gibson books, which I do from time to time. The shelves are sorted by surname alphabetically only, so you have to scour the shelves to find what you're looking for.
Finding William Gibson's books in this place is near impossible, which I think boils down to his fanbase being the kind of people who hang on to their books.
However, Virtual Light is a different story, being as I found no less than 14 copies. Rather than leave them scattered around the shelves, I decided to play a little game whilst looking for other titles, so I took them off the shelf and stacked them up.
2 Hardcovers, 1 oversize, and 10 Penguins and a small edition that I'd never seen before.
I also found The Difference Engine, the (retrospectively catagorised) steampunk book he did with Bruce Sterling, Idoru, and a copy of Count Zero.
I was looking for Count Zero (or Burning Chrome, or Mona Lisa Overdrive, or Spook County), being the only books of his that I haven't read.
Previously I've managed to find Neuromancer this way. I think I bought a copy from the Bookbarn about 10 years ago, but subsequently lent it to someone, so when I wanted to reread it, I would periodically check this place on the way home from Bath.
The paperbacks are £1 or £1.50, largely dependent on condition, but even so, if it takes an hour to find a book, it's probably cheaper and more efficient to buy these books on amazon. However, it's part of the fun to nose about these places.

Taken in the virtual world of Second Life while filming a machinima that previews a mockup we put together for a client project. We custom created the sets and content including the avatar of Bill Gates.

"Virtual Archive" (2017) is an installation of a 3D, computer-generated environment that is open to interactive explorations by single-users. Via a virtual reality headset, the user flies through a 3D data point cloud formed by a t-SNE machine learning algorithm, visualizing more than 1,700,000 documents present in SALT Research archive collections. Refik Anadol's installation is displayed as an extension to the artist's "Archive Dreaming", also commissioned by SALT in 2017.

Oggi raccogliamo con piacere l'invito a partecipare al Virtual Contest 2020 indetto da The Bricks Box e Eventi BRICKosi, ringraziandoli per i loro sforzi nel promuovere iniziative nel mondo Lego®.
Le regole di questo evento impongono di costruire una moc utilizzando uno spazio non più grande di 16x16 stud. Abbiamo quindi pensato di rappresentare il nostro diorama della caserma dei pompieri, che attualmente si sviluppa in circa 400 stud di larghezza, rivisitandolo in chiave micro. Abbiamo dunque cercato di ridurre all'osso il più possibile le dimensioni cercando di non lasciar fuori i dettagli più importanti ed apprezzati dai visitatori che hanno potuto vedere dal vivo la nostra costruzione. Non avendo molta esperienza in tema di costruzioni in scala micro, speriamo che possiate apprezzare quantomeno il tentativo, che a noi ad ogni modo piace molto e con molta probabilità costruiremo fisicamente per aggiungerlo al diorama già esistente.
Perdonate il rendering, purtroppo vista la situazione attuale non ci è possibile incontrarsi per mettere assieme fisicamente dei pezzi, ma è anche vero che l' evento si chiama "Virtual Contest", e l'abbiamo preso alla lettera :)

In January 2017, we took our first Royal Caribbean cruise aboard "Anthem of the Seas". Anthem was the newest and largest ship we've ever been on. Like all modern ships, she was built to provide a lot of options for cabins, dining, entertainment, relaxing, and just plain fun things to do.
The Cruise Critic group when on a "Cabin Crawl" and got to check out some cabins.
Most interesting were the "INSIDE Virtual Balcony" cabins. These cabins had a floor to ceiling screen that projects what is actually happening outside including sound.
We also got to tour one of the aft facing LOFT cabins. This was an amazing 2-level space with a full bath, walk-in closet, and a TV screen that comes down from the ceiling! Of course there were other amenities as well.
