Thank you so very much for choosing my photo for the group's cover. It is an honor and being chosen inspires me to give my all toward each photo I take. It makes me want to improve and find ways of being more creative.
A few hours after arriving at NCI - Kuula and having some of their mentors help me get my settings to a place that helped me rez all the flexi skirts, and flexi hair I met a girl named Mimi Puddlegum, my first virtual friend. Mimi and I spent hours hanging out, learning about this new world we had entered. She was middle-eastern, unfortunately I cannot remember where she was from, and was equally as excited about this new world as I was.
Around NCI they had various signs that spun in place "No Spampires - No Biting Allowed". Vampires? Where these the "bad" guys of secondlife? Did they appear and bite the virtual necks of new residents and flee? The answer to these questions still depends to this day on who you ask. Mimi had found her way our of NCI and had begun exploring, getting a job at a place called One-Eyed Jacks. I stayed around NCI for just a day or so longer. On the third day however something popped up on my screen and because I was focused on something else I had accidentally clicked on "accept" The neck thing I know I was given bite marks, consumed by black smoke, and was told I was being griefed. I didn't know what that meant - but I did know that I had some things in my inventory that I hadn't had before.
I had The Thirst HUD (boxed), and a landmark to a place at the time that was called "Liquid East". This is how I found out what landmarks were and how to use them. I pressed teleport and was surrounded by beautifully Victorian dressed Royals, Minions, Guards. Now let me deviate for just a moment to say I was born on Halloween, was a huge fan of horror, especially vampires. I wanted to be a vampire. So I land in this dark place surrounded by bloodsuckers. Still learning to communicate politely, however learning how to shout I began shouting "Someone bit me, CAN SOMEONE TURN ME INTO A VAMPIRE". I did this for about five minutes before I received a instant message from a woman named Angaelic Braveheart - She questioned what exactly I wanted, and proceeded to help me get a potion that got my soul back, and then proceed to give me the bite again...but I was still mostly human - and there were plenty of hungry vampires around us so she proceeds to offer me as a buffet to them, under the stipulation that she be the killing bite.
Bite request after request began coming through one vampire ripped my heart out through animation and fed, another flew down on me picking me up and flying me into the air, one even possessed me feeding from the inside before launching me into the air. At last my humanity remained only but a thread - Angaelic Braveheart has requested to bite you do you accept - I clicked yes and was reborn a revenant. She took me to her private palace along with her partner at the time, and provided me my first drops of blood, helped walk me through setting her as my liege, and joining the clan that she was a part of...
