Beech (Fagus sylvatica) is a tree belonging to the family Beech family, who first described by Swedish zoologist Linnaeus, 1753. The book is a large tree with very dense crown, smooth unfolded trunk and shiny green leaves.
The leaves, which are edible, grow flat horizontally to gather maximum light, with the result that the sun rarely reaches the tree's branches and vegetation under the trees marked by this, while boklöven decompose slowly.
In Norway, the book is growing in the South, where a large beech forest are at Larvik, and along the gentle west coast to the north of Bergen. The missing as wild in Finland and in Sweden north of Götaland.
