In the preparation for the Ganesh Chaturdhi (వినాయక చవితి), we were able to get some clay idols.
This is the 4th consecutive year where we are organizing “Paint Your Clay Ganesha” with Natural Colors for all kids (and parents too).
This is going to be on 16th Sept, 2012 @ Sri Nilaya Lake View Apartments, Miyapur, Hyderabad.
From the Ganesha Workshop we did this year. People from all age groups enjoyed painting their Ganesha.
A student from DAV, Miyapur school (Hyderabad) is painting his Ganesha during the "Paint Your Own Ganesha" program conducted just before the Ganesh Chathurdhi in 2012.

Ganesha Chaturthi or Ganesha Festival celebrates the birthday of Lord Ganesha. Ganesha, the elephant-headed son of Shiva and Parvati, is widely worshipped as the supreme god of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. The festival is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chavithi in some parts of India.
