Legend has it that the Jade Emperor asked a family of dragons for help to protect himself against Chinese invaders who wanted to take over his territories. The dragons fiercely threw pearls at the enemy to sink their ships and with their tail one of them created beautiful islets that can still be admired today.

Lan Ha Bay and Cat Ba Island

Lan Ha Bay is much less touristy than its older sister, Halong Bay. Narrower, more collected, Lan Ha Bay cannot accommodate large units. Only small boats can navigate the emerald waters dotted with karst islands and islets with surprising shapes and covered in jungle.

The cruise takes a more intimate turn than in Halong Bay. Kayaking with a visit to a floating village is also the main activity in Lan Ha Bay, with the added bonus of lying in small secluded coves for swimming and lounging.

The cruise in Lan Ha Bay is perfectly combined with the discovery of Cat Ba Island. The latter is the large island of the archipelago of the same name, which includes 367 islands and islets recognized as a biological reserve by UNESCO. You can walk there in its national park characterized by its subtropical vegetation that is home to more than 50 species of animals, including a rare species of endemic monkeys: the golden-headed langur. Cat Ba can also be the subject of a stay by the sea with its beautiful beaches or a more sporting stay, especially cycling or climbing.

Vietnam.- Da Nang - Ba Na Hills - Sun World

At the end of one end of the famous Golden Bridge, the well-known bridge of the hands (Vietnam, Da Nang, Ba Na Hills, Sun World), there is a garden where one of the most bizarre or curious collections of sculptures is displayed. It is composed of a series of parts of the human body of exaggerated size distributed throughout that space. It is several heads, a body, a leg, or a huge arm like the one shown in the image, all of them adorned with plant elements. They are truly striking, not only because of their scale, but also because of their originality and beauty.

I do not know the author's intention or if it is part of any legend of the area. If anyone knows his story, I would be happy to incorporate it into this description.

Candid street shot. (guess where!) Well all I can say is its best to dress casually when travelling, but this may be taking things too far.

Good Morning, Vietnam is a 1987 American war comedy-drama film written by Mitch Markowitz and directed by Barry Levinson.

Set in Saigon in 1965, during the Vietnam War, the film stars Robin Williams as a radio DJ on Armed Forces Radio Service, who proves hugely popular with the troops, but infuriates his superiors with what they call his "irreverent tendency". The story is loosely based on the experiences of AFRS radio DJ Adrian Cronauer.

Most of Williams' radio broadcasts were improvised. The film was a critical and commercial success; for his work in the film, Williams was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. The film is number 100 on the list of the "American Film Institiute's 100 Funniest American Movies".

Café Frequenters episode 175

Hello Dear minister of the cultural Department!

you might not know it but we met at some occasions, once when you snook in to KB (the Disco in Malmö) and didn´t pay... ha, ha, not even the minister gets in for free, ha, ha, ha! the other time on the shopping street when you were parading around with your posse of lesser dignitaries, the third time on Slagthuset, I think you payed the ticket fee that time...!

I am as you might or might not know a visual artist, that is mostly visual, I happen to work with sounds, written material, movies, acting, you name it as long as it is expressing my self.. or pretending no to...

I have an Idea!

I saw you on the telly the other night and you were concerned about the younglings reading far to little, lucky you here I have the remedy to those bonehead youths!

...You, see my idea is like this, to get the baby-adult generation to read more you need to feed them literature that the want to read, it is kind of called a carrot, yes it is an allegory I think you are familiar with...

I have the Carrot, but let me tell you it is not an orange vegetable that you grow in the ground...

(Bonus interesting fact: did you know the Danes called them veggies Yellow-root but actually they are kind of right since the pale original version was closer to yellow!)

..oh I think I am staggering out of the subject matter now and I know you ministers are busy people and get loads of mail, so I am gonna make it short, not my carrot it is medium sized but not orange, not like my friend Jimmies!!!

Oh now I am way out far away from the bullseye that I aimed at, let us return to the subject Dear Honored Mr. Minister...

I have a carrot for the youth, in a novel I am writing, it includes a main character an agent, he works for SÄPO (yes you minister-friends lads in suits and a comlink stuffed in their ear)

Yeha, Anyhow, the novel is about him and his inner feelings and some violent deeds he commit, his old life in The Vientnam War, he frequenting pubs and café and I have put some, strange stuff like a Deamon, a strange creature like in those lord of the rings books, oh By the way did you know the Danish Queen have illustrated the danish version? just an interesting fact....

Ok, Back to the subject, now...

My idea is that if you publish my Carrot (in the form of a book) you could hand it out to all schoolchildren and since it is smashing good (if I may say it my self!) they will read more and I will get some money from the state...

Look at it, it is a win-win for us both!

Hope you are interested!

Looking forward to our collaboration!
