The second shelf in the Room of Doom is dedicated to the laughingstocks of the 90's (Excluding the Virtual Boy, which really deserves a shrine to itself...)

I've got the Jaguar, 3DO, CD-I, and Turbo-Grafx 16 (Which isn't technically from the 90's, but whatever...)

Left to right: The House of the Dead 2, Shemue, Dynamite Cop, Crazy Taxi, Zombie Revenge, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, Sega Smashpack, The Typing of the Dead, Dino Crisis, Ecco The Dolphin: Defender of the Future, Evil Dead: Hail to the King

I reconfigured the items on the second shelf. I looked at the Turbo Grafx 16 and CD-i stuff, each sitting on half of their own shelves and decided that it would be unlikely that I'd be growing those collections rapidly in the near future, so I couldn't justify giving them each a shelf to themselves. So, I consolidated those two systems onto one shelf, then placed the Atari Lynx and Nokia N-Gage together on the newly freed shelf. On the top of the shelf is now a near complete collection of US Tomy Tutor items.

Turbo-Grafx 16 on top.

Philips CD-i on the bottom.

It's here!! My copy of Surgical Strike for the Sega CD 32X has finally arrived after a long trip from Brazil. A custom reproduction by @vgdbbr, this comes with a glossy hard box to hold everything, a pressed CD of the 32X version of the game (which was only released in Brazil), plus instruction manual, poster and an info/history card.

Except for a tear in the top of the box which was covered up by a sticker, production quality looks great. The game ISO was also released by the person who made these repros, but I've been waiting for the full release to try it out and compare video quality against the regular SegaCD one.

I recently managed to add this to my Sega Master System library and it's one I'd wanted for awhile; so it's exciting for me to nab something that's been my wishlist for years. This is a late release SMS game as you can tell by the blue cartridge label, but I have been pretty patient and got it without paying some ludicrous amount. I'm looking forward to getting more time to work through it, but I really can't get over the fact that this cover looks so much like the box art for Shinobi on the Sega Mark III though...

🇩🇪 Der SkyLanders Shield Striker von ActiVsion (Spielwaren) ist mit drei(pro seite) Zahnräder ausgestattet die als Räder dienen , und sich wirklich ineinander drehen wenn man das Fahrzeug nach vorne schiebt.

Ich finde das der Schild streike sehr schön umgesetzt ist und für momentan nur 1 € im ein-euro-laden habe ich natürlich nicht gezögert ihn zu kaufen, auch wenn ich das Spiel nicht besitze, zudem Er eigentlich als interaktives Spielzeug gehört. 👍

Time for an odd Pioneer LaserActive promo, The 'Mr. J.H. Long' Video. This is probably the weirdest promotional video I have seen, since from what I was able to understand it promotes the LaserActive as like alien technology and integrates the promo along with a mock interview with someone recounting their abduction experience.

I've had the VHS for awhile and got it pretty cheap, but I recently came across the actual laserdisc version as well. It's a smaller 8" LD with all the content on it, but the sleeve is pretty basic compared to the VHS which is kind of a shame. So when SN6 was sold there were two main retail channels: Amazon and Gamestop (there were also smaller sales through VGP and Play-Asia I believe). If bought from Amazon or Gamestop you could also get a soundtrack though. Each retailer had the same tracks, but different sleeves. I'm not sure which sleeve matches which retailer since I just bought these through ebay, but at least I'm closer to taking care of my Gaijinworks variant madness on Summon Night 6.

Released by Gaijinworks this LE is pretty amazing, and they definitely set the bar high with this one when it comes to production values.

Besides the game itself there is a double-sided poster, character plush, full CD soundtrack, coaster set with headshots, and a 200 page hardbound artbook! To keep it all together it comes in a heavy chipboard box with full color printing all over and magnets to keep it closed and with a helpful pull ribbon for opening.

It was a long time coming, but man was it worth it.

More Popful Mail madness! This is a Falcom desk calendar from 1994 where each month has a different photo on it from some Falcom property. The composition for it looks pretty similar to what was included in the Falcom Special Box '94 audio collection: Ys, Xanadu, LoH and so on. A neat little find, I'm not if it was given out as a promotional item or what, there's no barcode on it that I could see.
