YUMA, Ariz. – Yuma Free Clinic hosted its first Yuma Free Cup fundraiser at Gila Ridge High School June 22, 2013. The event pitted the Yuma All Star Spartans F.C., a mix of local high school athletes, against the Mexican 17U National Team. Hundreds of soccer fans from across the area attended the event. The Mexican 17U National team defeated the Yuma All Star Spartans 10 -1. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit Yuma Free Clinic and enable the nonprofit to continue its mission of making free medical care available for low-income families that qualify. From June 22-26, 2009, Communicating for Change (CFC) offered a course in Final Cut Pro video editing, to provide participants with a core understanding of the fundamentals of professional video editing and optimizes their creative skills through the use of the Mac system and Final Cut Pro software.
The course was facilitated by Chike Kani Omo, Executive Director of Blackwing Productions and a seasoned video editor and film director, who has worked on many international stage and film productions.
