I'm working on a music lyric video and noticed this transition on one of the frames from a still to a video clip. i shot the still at a concert that was right on the San Diego Harbor and the seagull clip along the harbor. Fun, fun, fun!
This is a digitally created city. I used it to make this 20 second video on YouTube. It's kinda fun.

My latest post on TikTok "violates community guidelines" ...what? I final decided it must be this picture & the word handgrenade on the neon sign. Scanned by a bot no doubt, so I appealed it and maybe I'll get lucky this time. It's not the first stupid thing they've done like this...you can't talk to a real person. The video overall does not focus on this shot or promote anything. I had a room that night on Bourbon Street, in New Orleans where the Hand Grenade is a famous, powerful, "mystery drink". The lighting was terrible, deep shadow and bright sun when I shot this many years ago but I kept it because of their expressions. I recently ran it in the "Wonderapp" to create ai versions and made the video linked below. I didn't edit the ai versions the way I normally would because I wanted to compare them and the ai ones are better quality but have about the same emotional value. I think it is pointless and dishonest to use artificial intelligence art to copy or imitate someone else's work. I use it for story telling such as lyric videos and to enhance my original work. This was how one did off-line video editing in 1979. There weren't the advantages one has with digital editing. It didn't even allow mistakes to be corrected, as one could with film, without dropping a generation in video quality. So, usually one had to keep it pretty simple. And since the stories were usually shown only twice (evening and late night newscasts, or late night and morning newscasts) the reporters (who often did their own editing) kept a pretty basic approach to putting their stories together in order to meet the deadline.
For what it's worth, I shot the video Chris is seen editing in the photo. We weren't back at the station more than half an hour after we finished shooting the story (something to do with downtown Jackson) when Chris was at this point in editing the story for the noon news. It was about 9:26 AM.
Camera: Vivitar 400 S/L. Lens: Vivitar 28mm. Film: Eastman 5247 motion picture negative, ASA 100 (without the number 85 filter).
