“ÆNIGMA, UN RECORRIDO POR EL TIEMPO” POR GEORGES WARD

“Para ver el mundo en un grano de arena, y el cielo en una flor silvestre, abarca el infinito en la palma de tu mano y la eternidad en una hora” (William Blake).
Esta videocreación está realizada a partir de las pinturas Ænigma (enigma en latín) finalizada en 2017 y Æenigma II de 2018, acrílico sobre tabla y acrílico sobre lienzo respectivamente. Estas obra que nos transportan al pasado. Nos hablan de la sabiduría en todos sus aspectos, una obra alquimista que pretende descubrirnos los elementos constitutivos del universo, una transmutación, el paso de la vida a la muerte y viceversa. Simbólicamente, la unión de Europa, África y Asia, materializa y resuelve el enigma, la incógnita, como si se tratara de un mapa del tesoro que está completo al unir los tres trozos de pergaminos (cada uno en distinto continente). El fondo de ambas obras recrea un mapa aéreo que nos recuerda las arenas del desierto, un pergamino antiguo o una plancha de cuero arrugado forjado por el tiempo, ello inspirado en mis visitas a tierras sirias desde mi infancia.
