In the Distance Learning Lab, students in the Upper School's Global Issues class meet regularly with schools across the globe, including a girls school in Jordan, as part of the Global Nomands group. Prior to the presidential elections in Haiti in 2011 (and after the devastating earthquake there), students from St. Mary's and its Global Nomads partner schools met via video conference with a girls school in Haiti to talk about the election and life after the earthquake.
