This is a picture from two years back in 2005. It was my very first video conference. I didn't have an iSight yet, so I used a DV cam. I also plugged my PowerBook into the TV for extra geekyness.
The conference was with Switzerland from Vienna.

(Sorry about the lack of quality/creativity on some of these photos. The mid-December is finals time for me, and so that becomes a priority over taking fun pictures of toys :( This goes for all the photos between Dec. 06-19)

December 28, 2014. I've cleaned out the back room upstairs we have been using for storage. It will be my new office - needed because I'll be spending more time on videoconferences and on camera this year. I'm not planning a major overhaul (because we want to do larger renovations this year), just enough to make it workable.

My photofriday shows one of my shyer students holding up a jar of vegemite to show the students of Collaboration Nation, in New England, USA. We are in Australia, but with the help of skype, a web cam, a desktop microphone and an interactive whiteboard, we were able to videoconference with each other. They chanted Hannah along until she tasted the vegemite in front of the camera.
