身障者免費數位學習平台「無礙e網」,昨天在台師大舉行結業典禮,即使多數學員因為行動不便不能到場,他們透過視訊現場連線,在家中全程參與。出席的學員涂宛玲開心地說,「我現在比讀國中的兒子還會操作電腦。」
「無礙e網」是由勞委會職訓局主辦,協辦的輔助科技促進職業重建協會執行長耿淑楣表示,約有四百人拿到結業證書,相關教材是由台師大無障礙實驗室教授葉耀明負責統籌規畫,針對不同障礙,搭配不同教材設計,減低使用難度。
同樣身為重殘者的無礙e網教務長周二銘,發起網路活動「機器人的第二人生」,希望透過網路,喚醒人們對舊愛的記憶,進而關注身障者遭遇災禍後的不同人生。網友可透過推文、引用、連結等功能,關心無聲的這一群人。

In-Depth: Autopsy is a videoconference program for Grades 10 and up offered by COSI, Columbus, Ohio's Center of Science and Industry. Students follow a videotape of an actual autopsy accompanied by live narration by retired forensic pathologist Dr. Larry Tate. Participants must work through the "case" and solve for cause of death.
The autopsy is shown from the Y-incision to the removal of the brain and is 90-minutes long. Teens, adults, and community groups are welcome. Individual tickets are available for non-school audiences and individuals to watch from COSI's Galaxy Theater.
Teachers will be sent a kit of materials prior to the program. In the kit, teachers will find materials to conduct both pre- and post-visit activities along with booklets for students to use during the program.

Here, Matt Pastore, pediatric genetic counselor at The Regional Genetics Center at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, discusses with remotely-connecting high school classrooms how genetics affects all of our lives.
In pediatric genetics, children with various birth defects, delays, and/or significant family history are evaluated to determine if they have an underlying genetic cause. Genetic counseling for several common conditions will be presented, including risk assessment, genetic testing, and psychosocial counseling.

COSI Team Members and volunteers from Ohio State University's Delta Delta Delta sorority assemble 750 classroom kits to be mailed to schools participating in COSI's interactive videoconference programs this school year.
The volunteer effort was part of Ohio State University's Community Commitment Day, organized by Pay It Forward and the Ohio State University Office of Student Life.
The kits include pre-visit and post-visit activities for students participating in COSI's "Surgical Suite: Total Knee Replacement" and "In Depth: Autopsy" interactive videoconference programs.

There at least two videoconference device in each municipality in Suupohja county. For ex. CEO of the county social and health care organization, has Cisco TelePresence device EX90 on his office desk.
We didn't make it back to Erie for Christmas, so I opened presents with my family via video conference on Skype.
