With the sun dropping between a bank of high cloud from the west only momentarily, CLF2 leads the charge away from Ararat with C501 and CLF4 assisting, as they head for Appleton Dock at the Port of Melbourne with 7922V from the Wimmera Intermodal Freight Terminal near Dooen.
Whilst it can't be seen, only a slither of blue was available for the sun to drop into as a blanket of high cloud was rolling in from South Australia for the week.

A question for Landscape photographers. Do you ever take a photo that you're really pleased with, but feel guilty because it was so effortless - like shooting fish in a barrel?
I've been in Victoria Falls for three days. I wandered down to the bridge that connects Zimbabwe and Zambia and the scene was begging to be shot.
I wanted to try some long exposure on the waterfall, but in the middle of the day (15h00). I brought an ND filter, maxed the aperture, dropped the ISO and went for 15 seconds.

Victoria Falls is a waterfall on the Zambezi River in southern Africa, located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe and is one of the world's largest waterfalls, with a width of 1,708 m.
This one here was taken with my backup camera (Canon EOS-M - the one with which I started to take pictures back in 2014). The attached pancake lens (EF-M 22/2) produces a very beautiful bokeh.
This shot was taken on top of the Victoria Street in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Victoria Bridge is a foot-bridge in Hereford, opened in 1898 to commemorate the 1897 Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria. It is located on Mill Street and crosses the River Wye. HFF.

The Victoria crowned pigeon (Goura victoria) is a large, bluish-grey pigeon with elegant blue lace-like crests, maroon breast and red irises. It is part of a genus (Goura) of four unique, very large, ground-dwelling pigeons native to the New Guinea region. The bird may be easily recognized by the unique white tips on its crests and by its deep 'whooping' sounds made while calling. Its name commemorates the British monarch Queen Victoria.

Short visit to the zoo this morning. I went there early because of the Easter holidays and didn't have much time anyway but enjoyed every minute. I spent most of the time in their big aviary which allows me to get in direct contact with birds I would never meet in the wild here and to take photos of them without an annoying fence between my photo models and myself. It was in the aviary where I met this amazingly beautiful bird, a Victoria Crowned Pigeon.

The Port Campbell National Park is a national park in the south-western district of Victoria, Australia. The 1,750-hectare national park is situated approximately 190 kilometres south-west of Melbourne and approximately 10 kilometres east of Warrnambool. The park is located adjacent to the Great Otway National Park and the Bay of Islands Coastal Park.
The Port Campbell National Park was dedicated on 5 May 1964, initially with 700 hectares , in order to protect the limestone formations on and near the coastline adjacent to the Great Ocean Road. By 1981 the park had grown to 1,750 hectares ; extending from the eastern side of Curdies Inlet at Peterborough to Point Ronald at Princetown. In 2002, the Port Campbell Professional Fishermen's Association unsuccessfully attempted to block the creation of a proposed marine national park at the Twelve Apostles location, but were satisfied with the later Victorian Government decision not to allow seismic exploration at the same site by Benaris Energy; believing it would harm marine life.
Loch Muick is on the Balmoral Estate, and when Queen Victoria was building Balmoral Castle, she also had a built on the shores of Loch Muick, at the further end, Glas Allt. The near end has this beautiful boat house, with the remains of a small stone jetty, from which small boats could be launched on the Loch.

Victoria Pier is a Grade II listed pier in the seaside resort of Colwyn Bay on the coast of North Wales between Rhyl and Llandudno. It is 750 ft (227m) long.
Designed by Maynall & Littlewoods of Manchester, Colwyn Bay's Victoria Pier was one of the later British piers to be built, with construction starting in June 1899 by the Salford firm of William Brown & Sons. Its official opening was on 1 June 1900, when the architect, Mr. Littlewood, handed a golden key to the pier's owners. As first constructed, the pier was just 316 ft (96m) long and 40 ft (12m) wide, comprising a timber promenade deck with seating and railings along its length, and a 2,500 seat 'Moorish' style pavilion. The pavilion was set to the right of the deck, with a walkway allowing access to the pier-head to the left. The pavilion's main entrance was flanked on one side by a flower shop and, on the other, by a coffee lounge and cake shop. Inside, the pavilion boasted a large balcony which extended around three sides of the auditorium and a full orchestra pit.
Now in a dangerously poor state of repair, the Grade II listed pier has been closed to the public for many years. Its future is uncertain, hovering between demolition and restoration.
