An image of Victoria Memorial, a colonial era building set in well kept grounds that form an oasis of calm in an otherwise hectic city.
The Victoria crowned pigeon (Goura victoria) is a large, bluish-grey pigeon with elegant blue lace-like crests, maroon breast and red irises. It is part of a genus (Goura) of four unique, very large, ground-dwelling pigeons native to the New Guinea region.

Victoria Dock in Caernarfon.
This was first built in the 1860's, and intended mostly for the import of timber from Scandinavia.
In 1997 the Victoria Dock was purchased by Gwynedd Council.
