Réplique exacte du bateau de Magellan, la Nao Victoria est la réplique de la caraque "Victoria", premier bateau à faire le tour du monde. La Victoria qui a fait le tour du monde entre 1519 et 1522.
Le Sous son commandement, une flotte de 5 navires espagnols et 240 hommes partirent à la découverte de la route occidentale des îles aux épices (août 1519). Il reviennent en Espagne en septembre 1522 après un périple de 3 années. Seuls 18 hommes reviennent à bord du Victoria commandée par Juan Sebastian Elcano.
La Nao Victoria a été construite en 1992 pour l’expo universelle de Séville.
Elle a une particularité. Elle a elle aussi fait le tour du monde entre 2004 et 2006.
An exact replica of the Magellan boat, the Nao Victoria is the replica of the caraque "Victoria", the first boat to circumnavigate the world. The Victoria who went around the world between 1519 and 1522.
Under his command, a fleet of 5 Spanish ships and 240 men set out to explore the western route of the spice islands (August 1519). They return to Spain in September 1522 after a journey of 3 years. Only 18 men return aboard the Victoria commanded by Juan Sebastian Elcano.
The Nao Victoria was built in 1992 for the Universal Expo in Seville.
She has a peculiarity. She also went around the world between 2004 and 2006.
Sydney's famous Queen Victoria Building was constructed in the late 19th century in the classic Romanesque Revival style. It is an elegant place with plenty of good photo spots.
I saw this exotic bird at Chester Zoo.. They are found in New Guinea
They forage on the forest floor eating fallen fruit, seeds and snails. The males and females are almost identical, but during courtship the male will coo and bow for the female. Both parents incubate one egg for 28 to 30 days and the chick takes another 30 days to fledge. The life span can be over 20 years.....
With the sun dropping between a bank of high cloud from the west only momentarily, CLF2 leads the charge away from Ararat with C501 and CLF4 assisting, as they head for Appleton Dock at the Port of Melbourne with 7922V from the Wimmera Intermodal Freight Terminal near Dooen.
Whilst it can't be seen, only a slither of blue was available for the sun to drop into as a blanket of high cloud was rolling in from South Australia for the week.
