Il cambio di stagione
passava tra il filo
dell’orizzonte al mare
e i vestiti nell’armadio
che aspettavano di respirare.
Ma era bella l’estate
quando gli aquiloni
cadevano depressi
e verso sera le famiglie
passeggiavano strane.
Chi mangiava,
chi conversava,
che dipingeva d’azzurro la pareti;
altri, per lo più ragazzi,
spiavano le donne
darsi da fare
con i capelli ariosi.
E la vita scappava
tappandosi le orecchie
per non sentire
più lamentele
sul conto della morte.
Ciascuno a proprio modo
e sempre a cose fatte
si diceva felice,
ma nel dirlo sentiva
che non era tutto vero.
Tutto girava
intorno alla felicità
come chi cerchi
il sogno che gli sfugge
e nel dirlo s’accorge
che è tutta un’altra cosa.
E la stagione cambia
e si rimane in acqua
mentre fuori è già freddo
nel rosso della sera.

This morning sunrise over #Leiden was awesome, the sky was lit up by beautiful stormclouds and everytime you looked up it was different. I could not help myself and took some images on my way over to work.

ellow vest, Paris, 25 nov. It wasn't a good time to visit at all. But finding myself surrounded by crowd, tear gasses and polices. At the end of the day, it was still a rare n unforgetable experience 😀

Made it to Explore
Fort Bourtange is a star fort in the village of Bourtange, Groningen, Netherlands. It was built in 1593 under the orders of William the Silent. Its original purpose was to control the only road between Germany and the city of Groningen, which was controlled by the Spaniards during the time of the Eighty Years' War.
After experiencing its final battle in 1672, the Fort continued to serve in the defensive network on the German border until it was finally given up in 1851 and converted into a village. Fort Bourtange currently serves as a historical museum.
Boyer’s work often examines what can be seen as contradictory experiences. During the COVID lockdown, the artist maintained her connection with nature and the land by watching the prairie sky from her window. She conceived of this work as an exploration of her identity as Métis, White settler and Queer, represented through the relationship among the sun, clouds and sky. For Boyer, the work ”materially connects my body, and the skies of places that were formative to understanding myself.”

Brielle is a very old, fortified town. Its name is derived from the Celtic word brogilo (meaning "closed area" or "hunting grounds"). The oldest writings about Brielle indicate that the current location is the "new" Brielle. Den ouden Briel (Old Brill) must have been situated somewhere else on the Voorne-Putten Island. It grew into a town of prestige in the 14th century. In 1330, Gerard van Voorne, independent Lord of Voorne and Viscount of Zeeland, granted town rights to Brielle. This gave the town governmental and jurisdictional powers and certain trading rights, such as the right to trade fish and collect port taxes.
