Construction began in 1689 and was completed around 1710.

👑 🇫🇷 Le château de Versailles, monument chargé d'Histoire s'il en est en France ! Ses bassins sont faciles à reconnaître, ils forment une croix qu’on devine de très loin (ou plutôt de très haut)

Versailles where Louis XIV used to live, now a very frequently visited tourist attraction. The gardens are amazing and the architect designed them so when you face them from the castle they appear rectangular and not diminishing due to perspective. This doesn't fool us from space, but then I doubt he thought about future astronauts!
