Completely redid my Stay Puft BrickHead model

Who you gonna call?

Please respect copyright. Do no use without written permission.

I made a Walter Peck in classic LEGO yellow a while ago, but now that I'm sitting on licensed flesh toned Ghostbusters, I figured it was time to update Mr. Peck to match.

The recipe now is the same as it was then - just a Qui-Gon Jinn head on a suit with some basic hair.

Also FINALLY put a proper sign on the firehouse.

The Ghostbusters had a house warming party.

On the second floor, Peter got too wrapped up discussing weapons exchanges with He-Man to keep the usual suspects from taking a bite of the pink slime.

The Ghostbusters First Fight in the Sedgewick Hotel against Slimer. Food and chaos are everywhere. The walls are covered in slime and and slightly burned out due to Proton Wand misfire. Hotel Guests scrabble for the nearest exit to avoid getting slimed or shot at.

Dan Aykroyd as Dr. Raymond Stantz. Bill Murray as Dr. Peter Venkman. Harold Ramis as Dr. Egon Spengler. And Slimer. Decals courtesy of Fine Clonier Decals, and Proton Wands, Proton Packs, and Goggles courtesy of Brickforge.

Number two in Television Terror Series.

(Slimer is out of focus on purpose. Trying to get a vapor effect.)

It has been since 2010 the last time we saw Ghostbusters on this photostream, and I felt that needed to be fixed!

Holy smokes, this set is incredible! I haven't had this much fun with one of TLG's sets since... since like... a long time! I had a blast reliving the memories of watching the film for the first time (I watched it with the build) and despite making some minor tweaks to the figs, I really had nothing inherently bad to say about this model.

Anyway, I was so impressed with the car that I went a bit out of my norm to shoot her and the figs :)

It's that time of year again.

Venkman gets a hand from Michelangelo to remove Slimer from the local pizza place.

Which is next door to Castle Grayskull. That's how I roll.

I hope this is what LEGO Dimensions is like.

The Ghostbusters Firehouse built in the scale of the Creator Bike Shop and Cafe. Not big enough to park the Ecto-1 in, but big enough to look neat on a road baseplate.

This is a start. I have a lot of details I want to refine and work out, but I'm happy with it so far. Still, I welcome any feedback on it.

Proton packs are great for minor hauntings, but some ghosts are too fast and/or too powerful to be chased down on foot. That's why the Ghostbusters developed the Ecto-4x4, a heavy-duty vehicle equipped with the Proton Trident – the single most powerful proton weapon in the Ghostbuster's arsenal.

But once a ghost in ensnared in the Proton Trident's beam, where do you put it? To solve that riddle, the Ghostbusters created the Speed Trap – a modified sports car with an ultra-sized Ghost Trap installed in the hood of the vehicle. When these two vehicles are on the road, no ghost is safe.

Bonus: The Ecto-4x4 can haul the Speed Trap on a customized trailer in between jobs.

Christmas time in Old Town in Paprihaven is a special time indeed!

This view shows the cloak spread out to show all panels. There is a complete list of all the badges, starting on the first picture in this set, and extending over several others.

In the end (and I have a feeling this project will never really end!) there were so many badges that could be included that I decided to make a second cloak.

BETTER

Art in Hats - Hats in Art

"Art and fashion meet in hats. Good hats are art to wear and subsequently many artists love to create fantastic hats. Fashion designers often show an explosion of creativity in hats. Hats turn to fashion with the styling.

The basic idea of the exhibition is to present hats built by artists and fashion designers together with photos. In the photos is shown a small story around the hat."

I had the privilege of being invited for this show, it was very fun to make the hat and the photo. There is many hats to see and better than that, to buy!!!.

Participating brands and artists are: ALB DREAM FASHION, Annie Klavinham, Annough Lykin, BaObA, Betty Tureaud, BSD Design Studio, "B&W" - Hats & Accessories,Burk Bode, CapCat Ragu, cold Frog, Couture Chapeau, Dantelicia Ethaniel, Eve Kazan, Grim Bros., Hatters n'Hell, Horus Dover aka Noke Yuitza, Kynne Llewellyn, LODE HEADWEAR, Maloe Vansant, MEB, Meilo Minotaur, Melusina Parkin, Miuccia Klaar, nexuno Thespian, Nur Moo, Paris METRO, Renee Parkes, RO™, Romy Nayar, Sabine Mortensen, Steven Venkman, Syra Hyun, Wizardoz Chrome, The Mad Hattery, WuWai Chun, Zibska

Here's a fun idea started by Ozz Seattle!

www.flickr.com/photos/ozzseattle/4731895529/

Create a picture demonstrating a word using the first letter of the Alphabet. A verb, Adjective, Noun, Adverb, whatever. I will start with A - Anger, then tag someone for the next letter B, that person agrees and tags the next person. Keep it fun, be creative, Use the next letter in the alphabet, create and post your pic, tag the next person with the next letter, they create a picture and tag the next person, and so on. It will be interesting to see where this ends up and what pictures are created. Use emoters, facial expressions, body language, sign language, props, anything that communicates the letter and word you picked. Good Luck and to keep it easy to follow, add the person at the bottom of the picture so viewers can jump from one picture to the next.

I'm picking Stephen Venkman for the letter C. You're up, Venk!

Man, I have not been able to LEGO in a while. But this past weekend I had some free time and allowed myself to get lost in a quick project. Rather than start something new that I might not be able to finish, I decided to improve something I'd already built.

It was way past time for the Ghostbusters Firehouse to have parking for their vehicle, just like every other base in Hobbesville does. So I took away half of Grayskull's yard and rebuilt the Firehouse from the ground up.

Now, not only can they park the Ecto-1 inside, but the Ecto-2 can land on the roof. And, inside, there's a containment unit, Janine's desk, Egon's lab, and wall storage for four proton packs, two ghost traps, and a PKE meter.

Day 4

Theme: Slime Time

Venkman: He slimed me.

Stantz: That's GREAT!!! ACTUAL PHYSICAL CONTACT!!! Can you move?.

Venkman: I feel so funky!

Business is booming and that means the Ghostbusters often need to be in more than one place at a time. Enter the Ecto-1/2.

This small vehicle contains most of the sensory equipment present in the Ecto-1 and has storage for a Proton Pack and Ghost Trap.

Unfortunately the weight of all this equipment leaves the cycle unable to support an extra passenger in the sidecar. But it means the Ghostbusters can work more than one job at a time, and Venkman's all about the billing.
