This image was captured completely in error.
While attempting to focus on the neon cowboy sign in downtown Las Vegas, I mistakenly pressed the shutter button. Alas, serendipity was on my side as a double-decker tourist bus passed by during that precise moment (a one-second exposure), et voilà .
This has now become one of my ultimate favorite images from Vegas. The timing was as unbelievable as it was impromptu.

Enjoy an aerial view of the Las Vegas Strip at night.
Note: I collaborate with helicopter pilots to perform my aerial photography over different cities. We remove the door on the passenger side, and I "hang out" even though I'm safely harnessed. I'm not in the drone business yet, even though I've been informed many times that drones are now "en vogue" for aerials, which is fine and may work for many people. The fact that drones are so trendy, even without having an official license to operate them, is part of the reason I prefer to work with pilots and completely own both the professional and personal experience of hovering above magnificent cities with my camera.

I really enjoy shooting architecture, but don't get as many opportunities to do so as I would like. One of my favorite buildings to photograph is the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health. Housed in an iconic Frank Gehry-designed facility in Symphony Park, Las Vegas, Nevada, the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, is dedicated to enhance treatment and research of debilitating brain diseases, including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s and Multiple Sclerosis.
South Las Vegas Boulevard road going left and right from the Paris Casino's Eiffel Tower. 2 weeks after the horrible events Vegas is still shining bright.
Heavy processing needed for the pano due to the restricted view from the top of the tower, and to be able to include almost all the landmarks on the Strip.

Tomorrow morning, Oct 1, marks the first anniversary of the horrific shooting in Vegas, where 58 people lost their lives, and the lives of many others were changed forever. This cell phone photo is the view from the Mandalay Bay hotel of the area where the concert, and shooting took place. I'd hesitated to post it before, but do so now as a mark of respect for those killed and injured, a mark of thanks to the first responders and other who came to the rescue at great risk to themselves, and in appreciation of the unifying spirit that this horrible event ignited in the Vegas community. #vegasstrong

When it comes to Vegas and Photography I have learned that sometimes you just get lucky, well this was one of those nights. I didn't win any jackpots, but I happened to be be taking a few pictures from the patio outside Todd English's Olives when the fountains started up again. I thought the fountains ended at midnight, so I was nicely surprised when they started up as it was almost 1:00AM when I took this photo. Like I said sometimes you just get lucky.
A huge thanks to the Las Vegas Metro Police Department who handled the situation in record time and for the first responders/bystanders who unselfishly assisted all the casualties.

The brilliant Marc Andre Fleury in action yesterday for the Golden Knights. Great day. We ran into the legendary Pete Rose a couple of times and had a chat about Cincinnati, and were treated to Ka and Blue Man Group shows by Cirque Du Soleil between hockey periods.
