This is the second Oakley ad I worked on featuring pro surfer Bruce Irons. I believe it's the most used since I've seen it at the ASR tradeshow and in many publications. It's also the final ad that was run in the United States.
Artwork created in Illustrator from photo references. Art direction from Paul Schulte of Oakley.
Features the Marilyn Monroe quote:
"I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes. I am out of control, and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best."
Fuchsia and light rose on robin's egg blue with a lacy white border. Limited edition.
Earlier this year I worked on the illustration fror French water comapny Lyonnaise des Eaux Water's saving house Flash website.

Here's Botswana from my bestselling book Wheres Stig? for the BBC TV show Top Gear.

The mysterious Stig, Top Gear's resident racing driver and one of the most popular members of the TG team, has finally got a book of his own. But you'll have to work hard to find him, as he's been cleverly concealed in a series of brilliantly drawn scenes. You might spot him getting down with the kids at a rock festival; or overseeing his workforce in his secret underground lair. He could be one of the spectators lining the route of Bonneville Salt Flats Speed Week; or soaking up the sun on the Costa del Stig. Filled with visual jokes and references to the TV series, and with extra credits for spotting his colleagues at Top Gear and a few other hidden gems, Where's Stig? will give Top Gear fans hours of fun.

Don't Let Short Term Greed Get in the Way of Long Term Greed, my piece in the new book The Best Piece of Advice Ever
The Creative Social and leading creative representation agency Bernstein & Andriull have teamed up to for their latest book, app and website “The Best Piece of Advice Ever”, inviting the “who’s who” in art, design, fashion and media from all over the globe.
It was born of a simple yet quite fantastic question by Microsoft brand strategist, David Pugh-Jones, to one of the speakers at a Creative Social conference in Paris: “What’s the best piece of advice you have ever been given?” Jim Haynes, an accomplished fellow, notorious for the lively open dinner parties hosted at his Parisian apartment for 35 years responded “if you do something for someone, forget it immediately. If someone does something for you, remember it always”. Advice we try to adhere to every day.
The book collects the best piece of advice from each of the “Socials” ( members of CS ), matches them with the talented illustrators and designers from Bernstein & Andriulli, and brings them to life.

I've decided to start making a sort of comic strip once I finish the build I'm working on right now (It'll be done soon, I promise!) So I did a practice run to see what it would kind of look like. I did this using Adobe Illustrator and PhotoShop. I might do one of these every week- it was pretty fun and simple.

Rod Hunt recently worked with Hornall Anderson Design in Seattle to illustrate the Brain Cruncher game to appear on the back of Quaker Life Cereal packaging. Five different versions of the illustration were created for the Original, Cinnamon, Strawberry, Apple Cinnamon & Maple Brown Sugar flavours.

Where's Stig? Motorsport Madness . The Stig, Top Gear's tame racing driver, is off on another adventure, this time following his passion for speed and adrenaline to its natural conclusion - motorsport. Stig has disappeared into the world of racing, and it's your job to find him.
Follow Stig as he roams from the stifling heat of the Dakar rally to the redneck heartland of a NASCAR track, or from the nightime drama or Le Mans to the mud-soaked stands of Silverstone for the British Grand Prix. Along the way you'll also find Clarkson, Hammond and May as they indulge in a spot of home-made motorhome racing or Roman rallying, middle-eastern style. The Where's Stig books have taken Top Gear fans by storm - and his latest voyage is the most action packed yet!

Here's a special dedication to the lovers and collectors of electronic musical gadgets, gizmos, pedals, beat machines, and dusty analog cassettes and records. Some of my favorite vintage noisemaking paraphernalia recreated as vector illustrations and screenprinted in warm Autumn colors.

Went back in and adjusted the colors on this one. It is much more saturated now. I like this one better. It looks much deeper and sexier.
Here's my Affinity Designer picture Emotikon smile. I pushed Affinity to maximum and finally I managed to slow it down - but it took hundreds of vector objects and lots of blurr and noise effects. The final effect is sweet - so I decided to buy the program.
