So when you walk the streets of this small town, every so often something white comes shuffling around the corner, and you cannot help but think of ghosts, cute, funny ghosts...
Women enjoying a beautiful afternoon on Varzaneh's riverside. Different from any other cities in Iran, women in Varzaneh wear a white chador. Some believe that this is due to the Zoroastran religion, in which white is the holy colour, others think it keeps them fresher from the desert heat, while another reason could be due to the abundance of cotton in the area. Nevertheless, this peculiarity makes Varzaneh unique.
