Long abandoned wooden barracks on the sprawling WWII Army Air Corps base in Wendover, Utah. This base is where B-17 and B-29 bomber crews learned their deadly craft dropping bombs in the great salt desert west of Salt Lake City. It was also the training site of the 509th Composite Group, the B-29 unit that carried out the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The first atomic bombs were assembled very close to where these barracks are.
