Just £1 got me in to a professional model shoot @ Liverpool's Black-E during the city's Chinese New Year celebrations.
What an extraordinary place the Black-E is ; just like Dr Who's 'Tardis'. And soooo much goes on in there. Without doubt, the best bargain I've ever had in my life. And to think that even though it's in my own city, it's taken me three quarters of a century to get myself inside the place.

MFPA - Mouth and Foot Painting Artists (Supporting Handicapped Artists since 1956)
MFPA believes in Rehabilitation through their Art.
The partnership of the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists takes pride in not being a charity but a self-help organisation of seriously disabled artists, belonging to the worldwide Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists. Its members have all learned to draw and paint with the brush held in the mouth or between the toes as they lost the use of their hands.
Please no pity, but respect for their work, is the demand of the artists.
The formation of the Associations in 1956 gave all members the opportunity to completely support themselves through the sales of their paintings reproduced as cards, calendars and other items.
Their work is offered to you on artistic merit and value for money considering the way the designs have been painted. If the work is liked and one wish to purchase, then it will help them to gain the self - respect that comes from earning the living and finding financial independence for life and creative self - fulfilment.

Some Flickrfriends might have noticed that we're frequent visitors to Wakehurst Place, the Kew in Sussex National Trust garden, when P. takes a rare day off work. It's a peaceful place for woodland walks, world trees, birds and views, and after a brisk circuit of the perimeter we sometimes enjoy lunch in the restaurant. Bad news. It's all changed. Gone are the locally made sausages and fresh locally grown vegetables, a substantial plate which P. enjoyed and which felt like reasonable value for money. Change of franchise, and in comes 'chick pea curry and naan bread', and 'pollock and couscous with red cabbage' - the sad-looking last two surprisingly small meals, left under the hot lights on the quiet day we visited. Now, at £9.50 each meal (excluding the coffee), in the self-service-with-no-smile restaurant, we felt more than a little disappointed. Naan bread? 3 tiny delicate triangles cut from the whole?! Half a cup of couscous? After a hearty walk? For a bit of a treat? Come on N.T.

Infographic demonstrating Ticket prices for the 2012 London Olympic Games: a show that could cost from free up to £72.5 per second to view! (100 metres (Athletics) final (men) top-priced tickets).
On the top left side of the infographic a comparison is made between the cost (per viewed second) of the following 2012 London Olympic Games sessions: marathon race, football - men's final match and the 100 metres (Athletics) final race (men). For a spectator it will cost nothing to watch the marathon race, 3.5 pence per second for the football match and a staggering 72.5 pounds for each second of the 100-metre race.
On the top right side there is a depiction of the number of the tickets to be provided; there are 8.8 million in total. 25% of them will go to stakeholders, sponsors, national & international athletic committees. The rest 75% (6.6 million tickets) will be sold to the public from March 2011. 10% of them will cost more than £100 each.
Finally on the bottom part of the infographic there is a chart showing various ticket prices: from £0 (free) to £2,012 for the best seats at the Opening Ceremony of the Games.

This was present only mildly prior to Mattison's scaffold erection, with the weight of the heavy trucks carrying the scaffold the ground has subsided even more.
The gap formed now acts as a drain, a litter trap, and a
home for feral cats. It's also a bit of a hazard as the cones cordoning it
off aren't doing their job and it's directly where people need to get to
with their rubbish.
In the long term the run off rain water could be causing damage to the
ground beneath foundations and the car park which will result in much more
significant costs.
Suitable HFI answer to this problem has been: 4 cones.
