This great valley boasts sandstone masterpieces that tower at heights of 400 to 1,000 feet. framed by scenic clouds casting shadows that graciously roam the desert floor. The angle of the sun accents these graceful formations, providing scenery that is simply spellbinding.
Honopū Valley is located along the northwest shore of Kauai on the Na Pali coast. It is isolated and not easily accessible except by water. Best POV are from the air, as in this shot.

Sangla valley is a remote valley bordering Tibet in Kinnaur district of the state of Himachal Pradesh in India.(altitude around 10000 feet above sea level)The River Baspa flows through this picturesque valley famous for its picturesque villages,its lush meadows,apple orchards and forests of Deodar and birch.It is a veritable Shangri La tucked away in one corner of Kinnaur and was opened to tourists only in the 1980s.

a few days after I had perfect conditionsI was looking for the darker sky but the clouds had other plans. The South view "right"with Saturn and the core of the Milky Way and the North view "left" still in twilight. The centre light pollution is Calgary due east. Antares in Scorpio is on the peak and Saturn is directly above
Back to my first solo trip to the American Southwest, which of course also included an extensive visit to Monument Valley, especially the well-known film locations.
On Tuesday of this week I once again couldn't get out of the Wittlich valley not far from home to capture a few morning moods with the camera.

Kangaroo Valley Road (NSW, Australia) parts of which are wrapped by a thick lush forest occasionally lets in some light. On one misty afternoon I found myself standing in the middle of the road capturing the ghostly light that filled this breathtaking scene.

These cool hoodoos in Arches National Park really stood out to me as the snow capped La Sal mountains in the back were draped in ominous clouds. I loved the warm reds and the fresh spring greens that popped from all the spring rain. Kris
Valles Pasiegos / Pasiegos Valleys.
Las Estacas de Trueba is a mountain pass in northern Spain, in the division of the Cantabrian mountain range, between the Burgos region of Las Merindades and the Cantabrian valley of the Pasiegos Valleys. Its highest level coincides with the same divide, approximately 1200 meters above sea level, and is crossed by the road between Espinosa de los Monteros and Vega de Pas.

The Lauterbrunnen valley is one of the deepest in the Alps, comparing the height difference of the adjacent mountains and the valley floor. In some places the cliff walls are 1000 m high. Streams flowing down the mountains, at the edge of the rocky valley walls, form high waterfalls. The most famous of these are the Staubbach Falls (visible on the right) and the Trummelbach Falls. The 297 m high Staubbach Falls is the tallest free-fall waterfall in Switzerland.
