Santa Fe 832 (C40-8W) leads an eastbound stacker uphill at Valentine, AZ.
This train finished our railfanning efforts on November 9, 1996. We sat there waiting for a westbound exiting Crozier Canyon for another two hours until the shadows met the rails...
When we filled up our white Intrepid at Kingman we took note of the beer cans floating in an ice-filled keg near the cashier. Please note, it was November. Then again, it's Arizona. Arid climate, that is. Well, instinctively we grabbed two cans and paid.
Back in the car we resumed our eastward journey but before long we cracked the cans open in the moment we passed a billboard telling the traveler "Don't Drink and Drive". We were young 😬 Cheers.
Homemade hearts. Several years ago, I ran across a huge bag of caning material used for caning chairs. I made the wire frames, soaked the caning material overnight to soften it and make it pliable, I then wrapped it around the wire frame.

It's February 14th....Valentine's Day
Peter and Oleg celebrate this day with Paddy, Scout and Rosie. (They made friends with these Australien bears). Hearts of chocolate, marzipan and biscuits are eaten. Peter, Scout and Rosie dance together in their tutus.

AN old Valentine Diner found in Colorado Springs. Apparently, it has been hit by a drunk driver, but if so, the repairs were pretty quality work.
