Die Brunnenschale ist eine

überdimensionale Muschel mit zahlreichen weiteren Muscheldarstellungen

Der Brunnen wurde nach Valentin Ostertag benannt. Er soll um 1450 in Dürkheim geboren und Gänsehirt gewesen sein.
