On a walk around Mona Vale September 2022 Christchurch New Zealand.

Mona Vale, with its homestead formerly known as Karewa, is a public park of 4 ha in the Christchurch suburb of Fendalton. The homestead and gate house are both listed as heritage buildings with Heritage New Zealand. Wikipedia

A frosty Vale of Edale seen just before sunrise from Grindslow Knoll.

They exist!!! I've always wanted to grab a shot of the ever so elusive Vale Mining power literally anywhere in the Greater Sudbury Area. After going for a hike at Onaping Falls we were headed back into town and purely by luck Vale was out at Clarabelle grabbing loads for the smelter, pull the fuck over! I whipped out my 300mm and snagged a quick shot before they took off, it was very brief from when I pulled over to when they started moving, what luck.

The forecast was for a hazy day with this clearing by noon and amazingly this is what happened!
