We first came here in 1996 and vacationed at this house, affectionately named the Yellow Submarine, for 20 years. The past 5 years we went to the mountains in western MD. When we decided to go back to the beach for this summer, we were so excited that our old home away from home was available!

I've been sitting on this image for almost 2 years, wondering just what to do with it, and then the Waterfront Challenge came along in Vivid Imagination, and I was off and running to get this worked on. While doing so, I was reminded of a pleasant trip where the eyes feasted on a world very different from my own. I particularly enjoyed the bicycles parked at the end of the pier by the houseboat on the left -- a sure reminder that I was "not in Kansas any more".

I just like this cute vacation home down on the Long Beach Peninsula. The freshly mown grass and clean yard and paint job makes me think this isn't abandoned.

Before the trip to Merritt, we are not very sure if we can see any good autumn colour. The weather was good and we did see a lot of autumn gold (the trees in the area did not turn red as we have in Vancouver).
When you see the sparkling autumn gold and the magic mirror which reproduced the same gold again, you feel you are double rich for the season.
This is the place called Alice Lake discovered by our leader Wong Tai Wan. I could not take more images around as my friends found that it was an area surrounded by private cottages. We left the area soon after we knew about the fact. The people chose a great spot to have their vacation homes.
