Shell (Snail)
For Macro Mondays -5letters
The subject is something that has five letters in its name. I went looking for a Snail but could only find this empty shell in the garden.
I saw this scene the night before but it was too late and the light was gone – so returned the next night.
This marina is just as you enter Antelope Island and people just drive past – but this a rich area for photographs. There is a gravel road that leads to the jetty in the background and also the beach.
Getting a seat on a bench in any of the parks in my city is usually impossible. Now, however, the parks are empty and the benches are all vacant.
I took the photo that I used for this artwork some years ago as I'm now unable to go outside to take any photos. Spring has always been my favourite season and staying inside while the sunshine is out is not easy; however, we must all - whatever country we live in - practising social distancing and STAY INDOORS!

I found this empty cocoon on a forgotten garden cane. I taped the cane horizontally across two spade handles and photographed it from slightly below. This allowed the beautiful sunshine to illuminate the cocoon thoroughly, and gave me the stability to use the macro rail.

Found this great little building while driving through the countryside. Someone had a good sense of humor and added the vacancy sign to it. Merged the HDR manually and used Nik Color Efex for part of my post processing. Enjoy!
I tried to get a picture of this when the baby birds was in it but couldn't get a clear picture because of all the leaves and now it's fall and you can see it clearly but theres no birdies so heres a vacant nest open to a nice birdie that like a sky view...LOL!! Work was underway to look after the building which unfortunately meant that it was surrounded by fencing. Thankfully the lights and distance mean that they don't make too much of an impression on the photograph.
I took this as we reccy'd the exterior of the site, looking for a way in, past the fencing. A number of inhabited buildings lined the site to the right of us, and it seemed like those lights may well give us away...
