Vera designator VRA, FM213, is maintained and flown by the Canadian Heritage Warplane Museum in Hamilton, Canada. Known as the “Mynarski Memorial" Lancaster she flew across the pond to join Thumper for a series of commemorative displays to mark the anniversary of the famous Dambusters raid.
Here she is warming up her four Merlin engines and completing pre flight checks before taking to the sky.

VRA is in need of some serious engine work. It sat out 2022 but hopefully will be back in the air for 2023.

With some very strange window tinting. This put me in mind of the yellow film certain shops used to cover their windows with, presumably to reduce sun-damage to whatever was on display.

The above image is a scan from an original Kodachrome™ slide. The default size is 2000 x 1250 pixels, so clicking on the photo will enlarge it for better viewing.
The original image comes from my slide collection, amassed over the past 40+ years. They are a combination of my own photographs and ones acquired through trades or purchases.
I created this Photostream in 2017 for the purpose of holding my slide collection as an archive, as otherwise they would just remain in binders and boxes, not being enjoyed by anyone, myself included.
Comments are welcome.
