Something, something something

there is no street. there is no city. there is only the darkness, a deep and silent void. through it, a man on a bicycle cuts a sharp line of motion. he is a fleeting moment of clarity. other souls pass by, blurred into ghosts, their forms stretched by speed. it is a study not of a place, but of time itself. of a single, sharp instant moving through the vast, empty dark. he is the only thing that is real.

This lengthened absence, these solitary rambles, did not speak a mind at ease, or a conscience void of reproach.

Just a recreation of the Pak-40 scene from Saints And Soldiers: "The Void". Took me forever to get those poses right. :P
I recommend you check this movie out if you haven't seen it. It's pretty good.
Forgot to add this:
*The Pak-40 is not my design, all credit goes to Brian's Bricks*

Somewhere out there, there is a void. A deep, dark void that gives a darn to redemption. It is a deeply carved canyon with walls scarred and lacerated by elements, time, and inapt sentiments. The abyss is dark to the eye, where the darkness, instead of being finite and focal, is diffused and glorified all over. This glorious gloom is lined on one side by a wall of mute hard rocks. On this wall, long lost poems crawl as streaks of paint, perhaps hoping for another read by some soul-gatherer someday. Today, a raging river is the only thing that visibly flows in this chasm. This river brings in silt from elsewhere and pretends to fill the void, nonetheless, eroding it deeper all along. Against the rocks, the childishly skittish river makes a rustling racket, which reverberates and climbs the gorge as asymptotic whooshes. Between these interceding whizzes and the otherwise silence, one effortlessly slips out of time and the luminous. Into the void. Into one’s own void.

The signal at N.E. Cairo stares ahead blankly in wait of a train to guide south. This photo was tricky to compose. I'm crouched down maybe 5 feet away from the base of the signal on uneven sloped ballast, which jagged rocks pierce the skin.
Looking straight up at the omnipresence of the sky that dwarfs the mightiest structures, it becomes difficult to retain a sense of place. As the sun set, moving the colors from orange-yellow to blue and violet, stars millions of lifetimes away began to glow as if they were near.
