30 Seconds to Mars is an alternative rock band from the USA, featuring actor Jared Leto as vocalist and was formed in 1998.
Alex is an actor, singer, composer and photographer, who brings you new tunes wrapped in old time feeling. He sounds like Sinatra; his mannerism is also from the 1950s-60s. I have seen him treating his numerous fans, who range from twentysomething to seventysomething, with kindness and respect. The vocalist was nominated for 2022 Juno Award. (Canadian Grammy). His band the 'Jazz Mavericks' include Jacob Gorzhaltsan-sax, Ewen Farncombe-piano, Daniel Botos-drums and Ben Dwyer on bass. At 'Tapestry' on the day it opened under new ownership.

Lori Secanska is an experienced vocalist, performer and a session singer, originally from Slovakia. She collaborated with many world music and experimental projects all over Europe, was a member of an international choir Apsora led by a Roma singer Ida Kelarova, a lead singer of a 40-piece ensemble London Gypsy Orchestra and recorded vocals for an award winning independent film 'Never let Go'. She performed at many international festivals and venues such as Pohoda Festival (Slovakia), Ealing Jazz Festival(UK), Union Chapel, Southbank Centre and St James Theatre (UK). Lori currently performs with a klezmer band Oysland and a Balkan band Raka.

Simona and Denisa Katzer were busking on small outdoor market on Republic Square. Their repertoire was mostly popular English language songs, the musical and language skills were both top notch.
They are known as '20 minutes', not as 20 minutes of fame, but as they were born 20 minutes apart. Do not ask me which one is which. They also sing as guests of some popular Prague bands.

Searching for the source of loud melodies from treetops in Melbourne, I found this bird.
A Yellow-throated Vireo singing his little heart out. My first time to photograph one of these Llittle beauties. It has been a season of firsts!
Yellow-throated Vireos are early spring migrants that travel from their wintering grounds in Central and South America.
Guitarist Libor Smoldas, played with pianist and vocalist Jakub Zomer, one of the best known jazz musicians in Prague in a large church (1931) in Smichov. They played for swing dancers. I've seen Libor in Toronto several years ago. Together we figured out, it was 10 years ago. He came then for mini concert tour; two of the 4 venues are no longer available for concerts. I had seen Jakub Zomer first time in Little Glenn Club. The acoustics in the church were pretty good, but the lighting was atrocious, so I only upload one photo, which I had to manipulate to get something visually palatable. I did not find out the name of the sax player, maybe, I still will.

Amazing how these birds are so brilliantly colored on their face, throat, and breast, yet be so well camouflaged on the rest of their body.
I followed this individual around for about half an hour. It sure was vocal!

The 'Letenský Dixieland' played for swing dancers in Prague district Vinohrady. I was actually surprised that the band consisted of 7 musicians. Usually, a quartet or quintet plays at the occasions, as money collected does not make anybody rich. Pavel Sláma is a competent trombone player and occasionally a vocalist.
From his curriculum vitae: Sláma is called the 'ship siren', his voice is also the voice of 'Aurora JaSBand'
He intersperses his instrumental creations with singing, often to his own Czech text. His amble artistic talent finds relieve in the mixed choir. His life's dream is to sing the song "Podmoskovnye vechera" (Moscow Nights) in Carnegie Hall. Alternatively, "Katusha" in the Barnum & Bailey Circus. Do not look for Pavel on Wikopedia, he may not be famous, but he spreads joy and have fun himself.

Went out Saturday afternoon to listen to the Legendary Las Vegas alto saxophonist, Tom Hall and his quartet feat. Toscha Comeaux, at The Bootlegger Italian Bistro this. They sounded wonderful!
At the Country Gospel Concert, this pretty, pleasant and photogenic vocalist was the main subject of many of my shots.

Patsy Cline RIP, one of my favorite artists of all time, died in a plane crash in 1963. She took the standards for being a country music vocalist and raised the bar. Even now, women are trying to get to that bar.
