Well friends, I'm sort of going out on a limb here. The image was done for Sliders Sunday, and this morning the camera was set on "Vivid." Then the Topaz software made the scene even more vivid.
The actual rosebud was deep red, and with the processing, the image picked up some magenta hues. All in all, this reminds me of the Amoled screen in Nitza's Samsung phone.
Anyhow, we've got some gorgeous spring weather here. Happy Sliders Sunday!
Vibrant, vivid, eye-catching Geranium. Native to the Mediterranean region, so they love our hot and dry summers here in Australia.
My Grandad grew these extensively and the perfume I smell when crushing the leaves always takes me back to being in the garden and greenhouse with him.
I also know these as cranesbill which I learned is due to the shape of the fruit capsule.

This parrot was interested in my lens and stood still for a while. It was cool, in Prague zoo you go directly into aviary, where this birds fly around you freely so you can take nice pictures without ugly blurry wire cage barrier...

Vivid 2020 was cancelled and then Vivid 2021 was delayed and with the current lockdowns, it was decided to cancel again until May 2022.
This shot from 2018 was taken from a well known vantage point on Lavender Street. It has Luna Park in the foreground (with the ferris wheel), the Sydney Harbour Bridge in mid ground and the Opera House in the background... all with their pretty lights on. For some reason, the Harbour Bridge only has pretty lights on the eastern side of the bridge but you can still see them from this angle.
A slightly long (0.5s) shutter speed to get some movement in the ferris wheel lights.
The only problem is car parking!

Just having a bit of fun with color but, believe it or not, the basic colors of these women's clothes did not change in the processing of this photo ... they were VERY brightly dressed!
A vivid mammatus display in Burlington, Colorado on May 27th, 2018. This was one of the better displays that I've ever seen. The wind turbines to give you a sense of scale to just how large the individual clouds are and how encompassing the entire display is.

Vivid Sydney is an annual festival of light, music and ideas, held in Sydney, Australia. It includes outdoor immersive light installations and projections, performances by local and international musicians, and an ideas exchange forum featuring public talks and debates with leading creative thinkers. This event takes place over the course of three weeks in May and June.
The Vivid light festival is on in Sydney. This shot of George St, through the Rocks reminds me of Main St USA Disneyland.
