Garden, Groningen, The Netherlands

Hello all fine friends.

Unfortunately, this is just a short visit. I only get logged in every now and then.

I have had an eye problem and need surgery. It will certainly be good, but before that there are someheals visits, so I get busy.

And I see poorly with one eye, it is impossible to photograph or work at the computer.

Take care in corona times, you, who have spring time, enjoy the nature!!

" Let's not make this complicated, I know you

Last night I had the strangest dream that you knew me too

But you need to wake up

I can't have you disappear

Just like my parent's house

I've become a visitor.. "

Yellowstone, Wyoming, US

Yellowstone National Park is a nearly 3,500-sq.-mile wilderness recreation area atop a volcanic hot spot. Mostly in Wyoming, the park spreads into parts of Montana and Idaho too. Yellowstone features dramatic canyons, alpine rivers, lush forests, hot springs and gushing geysers, including its most famous, Old Faithful. It's also home to hundreds of animal species, including bears, wolves, bison, elk and antelope.

This little chap is a daily visitor who appears on the fence outside our kitchen door every morning when he sees us put the light on!

Thanks for the kind comments and faves on my images; they are very much appreciated.

This beauty landed in one of my oak trees, one that happens to be right in my backyard and he perched about eye level with me. I was up on my back deck.

I got quite a few shots of him and waited a long time hoping he'd take off, but he outlasted me. I think he's still out there.

An overnight snow storm dumped several inches on us last night and the birds are really hitting my feeders. One of my favorite Winter visitor is the pine warbler.

An image characteristic about a city in quarantine, not psycho like someone told, but a city hit by economic crisis. So wandering around the streets, you could see discarded equipment from closed clothing stores, surrounded by favorite animals!

I planted several milkweed bushes a couple of weeks ago to help Monarchs on their migration. To my delight, I've seen several stopping by. This one was shy, and every time I approached, he retreated. He appeared to watch me from a tree, waiting for me to leave him in peace. So I did.....

Over the last week I have come across a good number of redwing on my local walks. When you see one there are almost always a couple of dozen others to be found nearby. This photo was taken in the grounds of Nostell Priory where we must have seen dozens of these birds. Alas they are a little skittish so with a large lens this is as near as I could get to one.

Falls of Shin is a waterfall on the River Shin, in northern Scotland, near the villages of Bonar Bridge and Lairg.

Falls of Shin had a popular visitor centre, managed as part of Balnagown Estates, a company owned by former Harrods boss Mohamed Al-Fayed. This included a restaurant, a branch of Harrods, and a waxwork model of Al-Fayed. The visitor centre was destroyed by a fire in May 2013. Balnagown Estates have since been working with the Kyle of Sutherland Development Trust to develop a new visitor attraction. In May 2017, the new visitor centre opened following the successful construction carried out by William Gray Construction. The opening event was dubbed "Celebra-Shin". The café is currently operated by Mac & Wild- a company created by Andy Waugh and Calum MacKinnon with 2 restaurants in London and Falls of Shin being their third.

The Falls of Shin were dynamited to improve the salmon access.

Aside from the Salmon Viewing Platform, the site also comprises a Mini Golf Course, Woodland Walks and a large Children's Playpark.

Our next stop is one of Icelande's most impressive sites, just behind the visitor center. It looks spectacular in winter. Stay tuned, winter is coming!

Final image from my trip up the coast to Dunstanburgh Castle.

Again this shot was taken from the North shore looking South towards the castle. As in my previous images I had waited to try and get a clear shot, without the many visitors, however on this occasion I like the idea of the three visitors just visible in the distance.

a close look

This starling has been a frequent visitor in my garden for the last few days. In fact I think there are two of them although I never see them together. Maybe they have a nest somewhere in the area. I have never had starlings in my garden before. Usually I only see them on the fields or in parks. Most of the starlings in Germany are migratory birds. In Autumn they leave for warmer regions and return in Spring.

You are late to the party Mr. Crow.

Sorry about being away yesterday but I do not get out much,

Today was a dilemma as I had to solve my internet once again with phone calls and complaints, then I had to figure out what I could post. Then, as always a two for one deal popped into my head. Happy Bench Monday and then share it with my Teddy Bear Tuesdays.
