Quite probably the best Il Guarany Overture on disc. Shamefully neglected for CD release. Fiedler is a much underrated conductor who, along with the "pops" schlock, produced some excellent recordings of classical works. I've never been disappointed with his recordings.

Les noces • The Royal Ballet Company

Though I have this on open reel tape, I wanted this LP to frame...the pen/ink drawing is so elegant. It suits the Classical subject matter quite well.

Brahms Symphony 3 - Kindler NSO Victor 78s front.

Very rare original 78 issue of a very fine recording. Hans Kindler founded the National Symphony in Washington DC, and served as its conductor on several recordings. This Brahms 3rd has a charm all its own.
