Been depressed for months lately. I was so down, in pain and brokenhearted. Anyway, Im recovering now. A bit sad but life must go on. So I was bored this morning then I decided to check my Dynamite Girls in my doll cabinet then I saw this Rufus Blue doll and I remove her ponytail coz I wan to change her hairdo. Its been 2 years since she's sporting that hairstyle. You might be thinking what's the connection between me being broken hearted and this doll... Well, she made me smile this morning...
I traded her before for another doll and I'm glad I had her back. She will stay with me forever. :)
Repost from my Inactive Flickr Account.
I can't wait for autumn to begin here in Vegas. I want it to get cooler ASAP! But it looks like it'll be a while before the temperature goes down. It'll be in the 100s for the next two weeks. Ugh.
I never knew I had 8 Dynamite Girls until I redress them and have a quick shot. sorry for the crappy pic.
There'll be devils in a rush
His duct tape makes you hush
Hey there Sedona let me cut you a deal,
I'm a little hung over and I may have to steal your soul
I needed to re-assess my doll collection. With the articulated girls approaching critical levels, some weeding out and renaming had to be done. This is the first wave, the Completed-So-Far set. More in the making!
...I can't believe I have so many dolls I've never photographed. D:
I was inspired from the 2001 Vanity Fair called 30 Years of Black Beauty. I created my version for my dolls. So here is 7 of my years collecting of Black Beauties.
A mix of Fashion Royalty, Dynamite Girls, FR2, Barbie 12" AA beauties.

The album cover from a collection of Pat Paulsen's political spoofs as recorded on the Smothers Brothers show. The record was issued shortly before the 1968 presidential election between candidates Hubert Humphrey and Richard Nixon.
This was to go with Reese's 'butterfly fly away' article/Egypt picture as a clothing ad campaign but I shot this too small and at an angle where you could see the bedding that my brother & I used at my grandmother's house. I wish I had shot it at a bigger size but I do still like this quite a bit.

set 3/5 y'all!
Inspired by Nevra I'm editing & uploading some alternate shots and outtakes that I loved but didn't fit their intended purposes.
Science nerd Rufus - a genius in the laboratory, unfortunately also a tad ditzy and scatterbrained.
Voted 'Girl most likely to make miraculous scientific breakthrough... or leave the zombie cage door open'.
Originally Dynamite Girls 'Vintage Vinyl' Rufus Blue
I used to have 6 DGs, but Rufus Blue Electropop is gone... I missed her but she's now in good hands. :)
Today is Valentine's Day, I was bored so i decided to dress up my DGs.Trying to sport School/Mall look.
Who's the best?
Early Columbia (699) mono LP but a High Fidelity Recording..
Cover photographed by Richard Avedon at the hungry i, San Francisco www.flickr.com/photos/39527581@N07/12580376234/in/photost.... (But actually recorded live at Basin Street in New York, October 1954 & July 1955.) Avedon was the inspiration for the musical film, FUNNY FACE from the same era, and the look of this photo is very cinematic.
One of the great album covers.
It's also a tie-in with "Helena Rubinstein's new lipstick 'Jazz: Red Hot and Cool.' (It's the same shade of red as the dress worn by the young lady who is digging Dave.) " (From the liner notes.)
There may also be a connection to the earlier Cole Porter song, "Red Hot and Blue".

Good deals come to those who wait. LOL. I did found Vintage Vinyl Reese nude last year but this time I found her complete with all her fashions and in super MINT condition (not in her original box)… And with perfect bangs! I have seen listings of Reese’s fashion multiple times from $30-70 but I’ve been unlucky acquiring them until recently, so I guess I do believe in fate. Thanks to W Club members who offers great prices on hard-to-find dolls. Just one of the perks of being a member. Reese is the sole reason why I can’t leave The Dynamite Girls out. I have contemplated so many times to cut them out of my collection but it seems like they always draw me in. They’re so adorable! Reese will soon be upgraded to the current DG body and I might swap her plastic shoes with a pair made of faux leather. I am implementing a “No Plastic Shoes” policy for my Integrity dolls.:) Anyways, I am jumping for joy I finally got VV Reese complete! Yey!
Man of age is explaining to the potential buyer some of the vintage jazz records he has will never be made into CD's or downloadable ! As these are true 40's & 50's unique recordings!
When I say I was kind've obsessive with getting this shot & the mood just right, I mean that there are easily 50 photos of the girls. But with a new year, there needs to be a new Attitude. I need to not be so obsessively stressed over everything as well as also get my ass in gear for the FR convention to come in September! In any case, I can't think of anyone else I'd rather take the ride with than you guys! ♥
Happy New Year! Let's make it ours!
At half price books in Rockford, IL...found a nice copy of The 5th Dimension Greatest Hits....excellent album!
