I am usually kind and help out insects caught in water bowls that we have lying around. Not these. In Australia every drowned European wasp is an absolute bonus. They wreak havoc on our native insects at this time of the year. I think this is V. germanica?
I was sitting in my library reading by the dim light of a kerosene lamp when something out of the ordinary occurred. My library is quite extensive (it is indeed so vast and labyrinthical that my manservant refuses to enter it having been lost in there many times; the last time he ventured in there he came out with a look of profound horror on his face and has ever since refused to go in there again; at the time I laughed at him — but now I share his fright) — extensive the library is and I am ever toiling to finish registering all of its inherited treasures on library cards. I have to. I cannot let these volumes rot. For it seems to me that the very soul of this great old house is to be found between the covers of these old volumes. As I was leafing through a particularly large and seemingly boring volume in Latin, a note fell from the pages of the book. On the decaying paper were many notes and an object study of a strange fish. A quick examination at first suggested to me that this was an attempt to study and describe some strange specimen of fish that one of my ancestors might have discovered on one of his journeys. And strange it was! Although it appeared to be a rather small fish, it had what looked disconcertingly like a human eye! And a frigthened one at that. Now it haunts my sleep and in truth I have not slept a wink since this cursed note landed before me. Whenever I close my eyes I see that fish staring reproachfully at me! Perhaps it was not, after all, something encountered on a voyage to distant lands. I know that my forefathers conducted many strange experiments within these walls. But surely they cannot have committed such an unspeakable deed?

Àaaarghggg! Better quality photos these be! With help from a work colleague!!
Had trouble with the photos yesterday :( the lighting was too harsh and the shadows were blending with the deck ruining the shape! So as usual took it to work where the light is great and used someone better quality phone :p

Project 365 // Day 323
I have been collecting Warcraft themed action figures for many years, and since I started my Project 365, I've been doing action figure photography with them. They have been a lot of fun, trying to create a unique atmosphere around them using effects and special backgrounds. This is my Demon Succubus figure, part of DC Direct's Series 4 World of Warcraft action figures.
Note: This is a photograph, I used one of my photos for a backdrop, and a World of Warcraft action figure as the main subject, then finally doing some editing in post.
