This is the very first CPLD Mega board to be assembled. Now I'm going to abuse it until I'm satisfied. Some parts need to come in still (1/8w resistors, 50MHz oscilators. 0.33uF ceramic caps, xc95108), but this is pretty much it.
It's amazing how huge the PLCC84 sized CPLD is compared to the TQFP ATmega on the Arduino Mega.
Now to hack up a JTAG bootloader and write some framework VHDL code.

Baron Cornelius Ver Heyden de Lancey (1889-1984) was a wealthy and public-spirited Dutchman who at different times in his life was a dentist, doctor, surgeon, barrister and art historian. The Foundation generously gave Cambridge the Ver Heyden de Lancey Fund, which since 1996 has funded occasional public lectures on medico-legal issues of current interest.

Test setup used to to run the first live video directly from the high acuity Virtex6 directly into the Gen-1 CMOS High Acuity Retinal implant chip (In vitro). The output generated from the CMOS implant chip being programmable Biphasic current pulses mapped to an on-chip 8x8 Multi Electrode Array. SPI Communications was tested at speeds up to 10Mbps while running 30 frames per second.

Mais ce qui m’a le plus épaté, c’est le système de changement de vitesse : commandé depuis le poste de conduite, un levier agit sur l’inclinaison de la tige (pointée par la flèche), ce qui non seulement permet de changer la démultiplication (permettant ainsi d’adapter la vitesse du train aux besoins), mais aussi de passer en marche arrière ! Bigrement compliqué quand même, quoiqu’en dise M. le Président du GECP. Le VHDL et les FPGA qui me prennent la tête quotidiennement au bureau, c’est de la groupie de chansonnette !
