Watermelon is delicious at breakfast, lunch, dinner and in-between.
Evidence of its cultivation in the Nile Valley has been found from the second millennium BC onward. Watermelon seeds have been found at Twelfth Dynasty sites and in the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun.

Our neighbors were out of town and we were the lucky beneficiaries of their organic farm box. Chard, raspberries, makings for salsa verde (tomatillos, cilantro, jalapeños), garlic, new potatos, tomatos, bell peppers, lettuce, squash, yellow and red onions and turnips!
I whizzed up the salsa (with lots of extra garlic), and Deb made the chard with garlic, onions and other yummy stuff for dinner.
We are staying in a hotel. Finding a vegetable was not an immediate achievement. I actually asked some people at an outside table if they had any veggies so I could take a shot. Unfortunately, their meal was fried all the way! Luckily I could walk to a big box store and find onions.
