A very strong wind was blowing on the Sumas Prairie this morning. Above the Vedder Canal a couple American Bald Eagles were struggling to make an eastward direction trip. They kept getting blown back and then they would have to sail back and forth in the wind to make forward progress again.
When I walk beside her,
I am the better man.
When I look to leave her,
I always stagger back again.
A big hard sun.
Couldn't find the elusive White Pelican, but this gull came by and I took it's photo instead. Vedder Canal, Chilliwack, B.C.
I knew all the rules but the rules did not know me

Upper Vedder showing saturated glacial melt that will be gone with the first fall rains, I love these tones. Polarizer. Used truck headlights for lighting.
Sadly the only picture that really came out. Shot from inside a purse.
Due to boneheads using Flash (it doesn't help..) from all over the room, they had a fairly strict NO Camera policy going on.
