A 1971 / 72 T2 Bay Window Camper. Photographed at Lynmouth, Devon in 2005. With the memorial hall behind, where several photos showing the after effect devastation of Lynmouth during the 1952 flood disaster.

and this is the back as far as i can go without the blue paint, as soon as it gets here i can pop on the blue clouds and side then add the text, outline the badboy then wes done!!!!!
I'm only guessing, but with split screen that are hinged, sliding windows on the doors, Right Hand Drive with near side compartment. I'll say 1955 Transporter. Happy to be corrected.
A work in progress that has been dropped a bit already; I'm not sure I would do anymore!

The ugly duckling Volkswagen Beetle was transformed into the most sublimely beautiful Karmann Ghia, this example participating at the VDub Getaway at the Hillsborough County Fair Showground.
A VW camper van always bring a smile to your face whether rattling along in a real one or playing with a toy one. Hope this brings a smile to your Saturday!

Esta semana iba a ser mi penúltimo Bugorama. Por obvios motivos se ha cancelado. Ahora solo queda el de septiembre, si todavÃa estoy por estos lares.
Un Tipo 1 Escarabajo, un Karmann Ghia Tipo 14 (también lo hubo Tipo 3) y una Tipo 2 Transporter T1 bastante esotérica. El dÃa no se parecÃa en nada a un fin de mayo en California.
Volkswagen Typ 147 Fridolin
Desarrollado especialmente para Deutsches Bundespost por Volkswagen sigue las antiguas denominaciones de VW por la base aunque es una mezcla. Es tipo 147 porque está realizado sobre la base del Tipo 14, el Karmann Ghia, pero usa mécanicas del Tipo 1, el Escarabajo, los faros son del Tipo 2, el 1500, y la trasera es de una Tipo 2, la Transporter, pero recortada. El nombre Fridolin no es de VW sino el dado por los alemanes por sus "curiosas" formas. Según mi Montse es feÃsimo pero nuestro hijo no está de acuerdo. Su color original era amarillo y por supuesto que no llevaba llantas Porsche.

Dub, VDub, VW, All of these terms are special to us as a family as we have a great deal of fun travelling around the UK and Europe in our 44 year old 'Katy the Camper'. She was immortalised in this Christmas decoration a few years ago and it is always wonderful to see it hanging on our tree as the real thing is tucked up in the garage dreaming of the coming spring and summer adventures.
Uno de esos primeros Escarabajos con la luna trasera dividida.Perfectamente restaurado son caros pero éste modelo ha sido modificado a los gustos de su joven dueño. La antena, en el medio del parabrisas, es una Telefunken con las letras bien resaltadas en metal. Los indicadores de giro son las piezas de metal entre la puerta y la ventanilla trasera. SalÃan al poner la señal para indicar la dirección. Cosas de otros tiempos.
