De sneeuwpanter of sneeuwluipaard is een grote katachtige die leeft in de bergketens van Centraal- en Zuid-Azië.
Sneeuwpanters worden vaak de 'geest van de bergen' genoemd omdat ze zeldzaam en ongrijpbaar zijn.
De soort staat momenteel op de Rode Lijst van de IUCN als 'kwetsbaar' (vulnerable), met een geschatte populatie van 4.000 tot 6.500 individuen in het wild.
The castle was built between 1859 and 1862 by order of Baron Charles van Caloen and is one of the best preserved examples of Neo-Gothic architecture and interior decoration in Belgium. It is the only castle in Belgium whose architecture and interior have been completely preserved in their original state. The castle houses a rich art collection, ranging from the late Middle Ages to the present. It is situated on an artificial island, hidden in a vast landscaped park which includes a maze. Today, the castle serves as a museum about the history of the family and the castle.

In de avond van de wisselvallige 26 juli kreeg ik bericht dat Freightliner weer onderweg was met een graantrein naar Oss. De graantreinen die Freightliner rijdt worden merendeels getrokken door een dieselloc van het type Class 66. Door de werkzaamheden rondom Amersfoort werd de trein omgeleid via Arnhem.
Snel werd naar huis gereden om de camera te halen en naar Ellecom te rijden voor de trein. Na aankomst in Ellecom was het wachten geblazen.
Terwijl het licht snel minder werd door een sluier die vanuit het westen naderde passeert hier de fraaie 513-02 van Freightliner met zijn graantrein de fotografen bij Ellecom.

These horses are famous for their exceptionally long, thick, and flowing manes and tails.
The Temperament:
They are widely renowned for having a calm, docile, and highly intelligent personality, originally bred to pull traveler caravans.
Trade was slow today. Soon this van will park up for the winter and the patrons of this fine seaside town in north Devon will have to wait til spring for their delicious award-winning ice creams.
A recent American Pickers show was about a long Metro Van like this that was used by Aerosmith for many years in the early days. This one seems to say Standard Dairy Limited in green letters above the windshield. These vans were made from 1938 to 1975.

Paard van Marken is a lighthouse on the Dutch island of Marken. It stands on a headland in the Markermeer. As the building looks like a horse from a distance and with a bit of imagination, it is called Paard van Marken (English: Horse of Marken).
