Just a peek of what's to come. I took some film shots, but I probably won't be able to develop them until later on this week.

They were, let's say, a tad pressed for time, which is the reason for Baio's annoyed expression.

Vampire Weekend performing at Sasquatch 2010

i was driving up route 9 today to run errands, listening to the new vampire weekend album (go here to hear a few of their songs). i cannot remember the last time music made me this happy. i mean, there are songs i hear on the radio i must have that instant, but usually when i go to sample the whole album on itunes, chances are it's just that song i want. well, after hearing "a-punk" on the radio the other night while tearing it up with smacky, duff, michele, florian and tequila, i checked it out on itunes... and dammit, i found myself wanting every single song. so i downloaded the whole thing... and i can't stop listening to it. every song is good. every one. and i mean GOOD. the musicianship is impressive, the kind that takes your breath away. (well mine, anyway.) it's happy music, you know? like reggae meets ska, surf meets punk, africa meets garage-band suburbia.

so there i am, bopping along to "M79" (the strings! the strings!), when i spy this hot hunk of chrome up ahead. i'm in the left lane doing 60 in a stick-shift beetle, music so loud the rear-view mirror's shaking with every beat, reaching into my bag for my big brick of a camera... and i actually managed to nab a shot before i passed him, lungs flaring and braids flying.

it was a good day.
