The Protector of Gotham City
Something big I've been working on for the past few weeks, part of my inactivity. Unveiled last night at my local LEGO group meeting, Batman stands roughly 1 ft. tall without his display base. This is my first ever full body character, and I'm actually impressed with what I was able to pull off here. He is 100% LEGO, featuring a 75111 Darth Vader cape.
This month's theme was Batman in my local LEGO group, and I never even intended to do this. The wonderful Tim Lydy was a huge inspiration, along with many other designs, but of course I wanted to do my own style.
Also, I recently have gotten access to a real, professional camera. These are the first photos I've ever taken, so bare with me as I experiment and learn.
This will be part of an interesting project I'm working on for BrickFair Virginia 2017, so come see him in person there!

Lego the movie star Wyldstyle just saw the Lego Batman movie and became so angry that she took Batman's favorite toy.....his utilitybelt!!! Does this mean It's over between her and Emmet?

The blue/yellow legs don´t look as good on her as I expected. The Generation-X Fig is a surprisingly nice combo. Oh... Just noticed that the belt is flipped upside down. ^^

Very gratifying to ‘take’ something from them, instead of the other way around! They’re selling the ‘small’ (594 x 464 px (20.96 x 16.37 cm) 72 dpi | 0.3 MP) version of this image for $175. $499 for the “large” (3130 x 2446 px (26.50 x 20.71 cm) 300 dpi | 7.7 MP). Goliath takes one in the eye...yess!
Granted, only if/when somebody stumbles upon mine, who also happens to really want/need a high resolution version of it. But, hey, even if just ONE person can save $175 - $499, it’s a win. But I digress...
Unfortunately, the article affixed to the verso of the photo, although it features the photo, is irrelevant. The Chicago Daily News folks appear to have just pulled this out, since it is a very interesting, odd…and ridiculous depiction.
Among many other WTF questions, how did they see/know where they were going?
How about turning? Does one guy slow down, or just stop completely? How about for a tight/emergency turn? Backpedal...turn the other way? 😉
I do like the Dr. Octopus goggles though, along with the spacecraft’s external tri-rail elevator.
As zany as it is, it was ‘outside the box’ thinking, and it's what makes it so enjoyable. 😄👍

In an underground bunker somewhere in Gotham, a guy sits behind a computer. He presses some buttons and types in a code. A hologram appears of the fight between Batman and the Watcher. The guy seems to be wearing a suit of some kind, with a utilitybelt. Next to him on the table lays a nightstick, and he takes notes on the computer of the fight. A woman walks downstairs and enters the bunker. She wears a leather jacket with blue sleeves. Her right arm has protectionarmor on it, as well as on her knees. She stands next the guy and she looks at the hologram. She starts to tear up and asks:
???: "Is that him?"
The guy looks at her as she wipes away her tears.
???: "It appears so. His movements are almost exactly the same."
???: "How sure are you, Micah?"
Micah: "Very. Although not entirely."
???: "We have to be. We can't be following our hunches, we have to be sure."
Micah: "Lauren, can you chill? We knew Ken was Batboy, but he was reported dead 2 years ago. His movements might be the same, but how likely is it that he just appears 2 years later? Besides, why would he be fighting Batman?"
Lauren: "I don't know..."
Micah: "I suggest we stand down for now."
Lauren: "Micah, I know I only know you for about a year, and you're a great guy, being the Nightwatcher and all, and I appreciate all your help. With tracking down Ken, determing he was Batboy, and keeping the League of Assasins of my back and all... But I really want to ignore your warnings right now, and just go there."
Micah: "I get that, I understand that. But if you go there now, with Batman being there, you will get hurt in more then one way. Because if it is him, he might not be the same as he was all those years ago."
Lauren: "..."
Micah: "Let Batman handle this. You'll get your shot, believe me."
Lauren: "... Thanks Micah."
She gives him a hug and walks back upstairs. Micah keeps watching at the monitor.
Micah: "I know we haven't met yet, but everything will be alright. Your angel is waiting for you."
**This was a little insight on two of my original characters Lauren Silver (aka Silver Angel), and Micah Swan (Nightwatcher). Both will be returning regularly, and I hope you guys liked this issue!**

Amazing Carrie was in my camp. A great person and great subject. Taken in my Burning Man Outdoor Studio with Natural light.
Enhancements have been made to the Batman Armory by GeeWhiz Customs and it has been expanded to depict the Dark Knight's subterranean portside hideout in The Dark Knight Movie.
Entitled "Batcave 2.0", the scaled model set was entered into the annual diorama contest and was given the "Toycon's Choice" Award in the recently concluded 10th Philippine Toy Convention.
The new armory features a movie-accurate design with a weaponry display and an optional 1/6 scale empty cowl mask.

I know, it's the bat logo, not the Robin logo. I like the bat logo better, and I'm not stuck on movie accuracy. Sorry purists :-)
Bat logo belt buckle is made from layers of craft foam, painted with Plasti-Dip. The front buckle isn't really functional; the belt closes in the back with snaps.
Belt is 0.8mm thick latex strip, codpiece is 0.4mm latex sheet.
Not shown, the utility belt has functional cargo pouches sized to hold my cell phone, camera, wallet, etc.
