The 80:20 rule applied to the old user interface of the Microsoft Xbox 360.
They hid most of the features of the xbox 360 by using the "blade system". Similar to a toolbar, each blade houses several features associated with the subject matter. This UI allows the user to access the critical 20% of features while hiding the least used features within each blade.
While the new xbox one's "windows 8 pin system" is stylish, many prefer the simplicity and functionality of the old "blade system". I think a large part of that comes from how hard it is to find the important features on the xbox one compared to the old 360 UI.

The Arizer Air 2 is the new and improved air-dry herb vaporizer model from Canadian manufacturer Arizer. With great temperature controls, easy to understand user interface, and many included accessories, this is a high-quality vape that won’t break the bank.
The Arizer 2 produces excellent vapor quality that is in part do its engineering. It utilizes an isolated airpath as well as a borosilicate glass stem to give the vape excellent vapor quality. Included in the kit is also an aromatherapy botanical dish to give rooms a nice scent when it’s not being used for cannabis,
The Arizer Air 2 portable vaporizer will give you delicious, full-bodied vapor hits that are of the utmost purity. This is because of the brilliant design of the vaporizer itself, keeping the path that the vapor travels through away from heating elements and components that might hurt the vapor quality. The stems that come with this device are constructed of borosilicate glass, offering another layer of cooling, delivering smooth vape hits that a full of flavor and terpenes. In addition to the two glass stems that come with the Arizer Air 2, you also get a botanical dish made from glass. Every part of the device is straightforward to understand, and cleaning the device is a breeze. Also included in the kit is a belt clip-on carrying case to make the portability even more convenient.
The battery on the vape is 50% better than the original model, as well as having a better heat-up time. You’ll also be able to use the device while it is being charged (pass-through charging). Most users will be able to get six to eight sessions from this dry herb vape before needing a recharge.
The big difference in function between the original model is the digital screen addition. It allows for excellent temperature control, rather than just five pre-set temperatures on the original. For a small vape, the temperature flexibility 50°C to 220°C (122°F to 428°F) is also notable. With hybrid heating, meaning both convection and conduction, the device will be heated at the bottom as well as the at glass stem on the top. The result is even heat distribution that will get the most out of your dry herb product selection. The bottleneck has been slightly widened on the Air 2, which means another key element contributing to the vapor quality and easy pulls!
For when you’d like to take this dry herb vape on the go with you, the 18650 batteries are swappable! Despite their hour and half of use life cycles, if your device does die, just pop in the new battery and continue your session. In combination with the discreetness factor, this makes the Arizer Air 2 perfect for longer hiking or social outings.
Excellent portability, battery capabilities, heat-up time, and vapor quality are all things that make this one of the best portable dry herb vaporizers on the market.

The SE 708 user interface is designed for the demanding needs of the trading environment, utilising a clean, simplified user interface. ‘In key’ channel status lamps are augmented by iconography to convey a clear status of communication activities across all speaker channels. Physical function keys for call clear, hold and access to the home screen mark out the SE 708 as a thoroughbred endpoint.
Projects are a major part of the New Media program at BCIT. This is a paper prototype for our "GUI Gone Wild" project in our Interface Design class. We focused on making an interface that would help school aged children learn out the pollution in the oceans and about how to clean it up. The goal of the project was to make an atypical user interface to make a point about a topic that meant something to the group.

My user interface to Logan International: the shuttle bus that forced me to wake up 90 minutes earlier in the morning than I would have if I were taking a train to NY instead of a plane to anywhere.
Howard Greenberg Gallery (HGG) maintains a substantial archive of contemporary and historical photography. As an established New York exhibition venue and dealer, HGG’s brand was already developed and had outgrown the previous website. When StudioE9 recently undertook the development of the new site, we created a solution that strikes the balance between maintaining the HGG brand and improving the overall user experience.
StudioE9 is improving the responsiveness and browsing experience dramatically with a new user interface, content management system, archive taxonomy, and database. The new site will be a rich Flex 3.0 website built on top of a highly optimized database managing a very significant archive of photography. StudioE9 considers each site requirement in relation to the whole project and, subsequently, develops a beautiful, branded, and highly useable solution.
