Barney Greengrass has been a family owned business for 118 years. This storefront, on Amsterdam Avenue and West 86th Street, only dates back to 1929 and Barney wasn't named "The Sturgeon King" until 1938 but still that's a long time.
View of the twin towers of the majestic Art Deco architectural landmark, The San Remo on the Upper West Side. The building was designed by Emery Roth in 1930 This is the view of the San Remo from The Lake in Central Park, New York City.

The El Dorado (the golden in Spanish) is a co-op apartment building that takes up an entire block between 91st-92nd streets in Central Park West. Remember that frozen reservoir photo with the tree shadows below? Well, one can have a great view of it from atop of the building (see video). The Art Deco structure was built in 1929-31.It's a 30-story building with 186 units. The structure replaces an 8-story building that stood at the site in 1902,but that building did not do well due to the stock market crash of 1929. youtu.be/JMxdsamJU6Y
