There are so many layers and textures in this image I don't know what belongs to who! I do know that a lot of them are mine though! Thank you to anyone that recognizes one. I don't think this looks completely finished so I welcome ANY critique ~ thanks

1 hour drive there, 1 hour back ... 2 hours walking for my daily exercise ... 0 people within 300 feet ... 1 nice sunset at Dunstanburgh castle ... it was good to get out with the camera after these 8 weeks or so of lockdown ...

Wooden door of one of the long abandoned hospital wards on the base.

I first visited this old Army Air Corps base in Wendover, Utah back in June of 2007 and have returned a few times for more exploration. In the years between visits much has happened by way of preserving and even restoring this fascinating piece of history. To see images from both this visit and the 2007 visit check out the album here: www.flickr.com/photos/19779889@N00/albums/72157601973705978

Leh is the capital of the Leh District of Ladakh, India. The city lies on the true right bank of the Indus River in a narrow valley north of the river at an elevation of some 3,530 m (11,581 ft.). I photographed this unlocked doorway in Leh's Main Bazaar.

My heart always skips a beat of two when I spot the inverted onion domed roof shapes of the Ukrainian churches near Edmonton from a distance. Beautiful through all seasons, yet something special takes hold visually in winter surrounded by blankets of whiteness and periwinkle skies. During boxing week I had a late morning drive, the light was subdued and temperatures cold enough for bare fingers. The farms and agricultural buildings surrounding Edmonton are some of the finest winter scenics in Alberta, and my eyes were soon beginning to overload.

With patience I stumbled upon two churches along a secondary road through little Fedorah, AB…..this the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Not much else remains here, and I hope the distinctive Ukrainian sacral landscape on the prairies never recedes.

Mohammad Sabbir, a benarashi weaver working his way to the future. He started as a mere worker, now he owns 2 weaving machine, and dreams to open a benarashi selling shop. All the best to you Mohammad Sabbir.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Much of the original "yard" was filled in with more cell blocks, until prisoners often just walked back and forth in narrow spaces between walls.

Beside the canal at Pennington Flash, Wigan is this artwork, neatly called 'Unlock", comprising five(!?) lock gates grouped together. Sadly the earlier sunshine had disappeared, and I did my best with these views.

The canal is on the right here.

"Mysterious inscription on a key,

Leading to the unknown,

Where what lies is a mystery,

Or something that's vaguely foretold."

Once upon a time, there was a big ocean. instead of fish, the ocean was full of LOCKS & KEYS,,,,keys were interested to open LOcks. For centuries, Keys started to invade, kill, and open unlocked ones. In some cases, some unlocked ones, decided to let keys open them. because they were tired of being persued or raped. On the other hand, there were some unlocked ones who fought for their rights. After thousands of years. the ocean became divided into 2 sections...Supported Open Ones & Suffering Unlocked ones...keys, are still trying to OPEn the rest of Locks, in order to support & bring harmony for the entire ocean...I have heard that, when they succeed to open the last ulocked creature, THE LOCKING procedure will start..which means,,,keys start to relock, all the open LOCKS...but this time,,,they will be locked forever... :-(
